As much as she was sorry to not have the random superpowers any more, Éponine was definitely glad to be back in the real Fandom. Spinning her own fantasies to distract herself from the worse aspects of life was one thing, but to have someone else impose that illusion for her? That was entirely different, and unwelcome.

So she was in a more upbeat mood than usual today, even if her morning had started out with Cosette showing up at her door to inform her that she was not allowed to get kidnapped by aliens again -- no, actually, that might have contributed to her cheer somewhat.

"Good lord!" she exclaimed to the small flock of bulk-mail coupon books that burst out of a mail bin and went divebombing at her head. "Misbehave all you like this week, see if I care! It isn't as if I'm going to send you into some silly place as punishment for it."

You could tell she was feeling rather more expansive than usual today; she'd even left out a bowl of snacks for the gremlins.
