Lukes, Thursday
"Yo man, 'sup?" 'Hardison' greeted as she made her way into the diner, laptop (covered with stickers of Greetings Kitten and all her friends, like a real hacker's laptop) under her arm. "I got some ideas for the specials today, aiiiight?"
"Finally came out of hibernation, huh?" the cook asked, not looking up.
"Yeah, well, you know," 'Hardison' said, smirking a little. "For a little while, anyway."
"I like your tiara," said the dishwasher.
"Aw yeah, right?" 'Hardion' preened a little, resettling the little plastic pink and silver princess tiara on her head. "Just a little somethin-somethin I picked up." She grabbed a seat at a booth and opened her laptop. "I'mma email you those specials."
And she proceeded to start laboriously tapping away at her laptop using only her two pointer fingers.
Today's specials
Cucumber sandwiches
Lemon buttermilk scones with lavender jelly
English trifle
Luke's was open, OCD-free, and starring a permissibly impersonated faux-Hardison.

Well, sort of.
He at least was awake. Drac took advantage of a passing cloud to run into to the diner only slightly smoking. "Do you happen to serve wormcakes?" he asked, a rather hopeful look on his face.

"The freezer... you're not a self-service restaurant, now, are you?" Because Drac did okay in the kitchen, but only if he had to. And there were leftovers. And a cook.

Sorry... Drac was Old School.
"I am Count Dracula. It is a pleasure to meet you. Do you own Luke's now, or simply managing it? I've not been, ah, shall we say, paying attention? to island matters lately."

Not that Drac had any idea whether or not that was the correct name, but the men were supposed to be in a relationship. Wasn't it odd that this man who asked not to be called 'mr' was referring to his beloved as 'mr'?
Suspicious Drac was suspicious. And wondering if he was being made a fool of.
But how did one call someone on this sort of lie? Or did one?
Drac was going to settle for the frowny and expectant half-glare and raised eyebrow he gave Mavis when he suspected but couldn't prove anything.

Now she was starting to feel bad for trying to trick Drac. Again. She smiled sheepishly.

"You must have known him for some time if he allows you to be here in his stead."

(He missed that decade.)

Actually, though...
Drac sighed, tired, and facepalmed, shifting his cape as he took a seat. "You do know that I actually have no authority here, yes? There's no need to tell me lies."

There was some scuffling in the kitchen and the busboy was shoved out the doors. "We don't know what's going on," he said. "Please leave us out of it."
'Hardison' pouted.

"Is the island up to something?" Drac chuckled. "Or are you?"

"We were worried about you," she said. "I kept meaning to call, but I didn't want to bug you. Or remind you too much of -- you know."

Drac reached out to cover her hand with one of his, if she'd let him. "I apologize. I didn't mean to worry you. It really did take me a while to get better. Apparently draining the life energies out of a vampire is easier than getting them back. Especially when I am not able to eat human blood."
