Fandom Post Office August 25 (Tuesday)
Someone had shipped a number of packages to someone that Éponine supposed was a friend or relative in town, if the hastily hand-scrawled addresses and wildly varying package shapes were any clue.
That person had also shipped all these packages by the cheapest rate possible, though from the sheer package volume Éponine could hardly fault them for being frugal.
. . . it was just that it was very, very hard to move around in the back room of the post office with all those turtles standing about, patiently waiting to be relieved of their cargo. Luckily, Éponine had a lot of practice scrambling about in cramped spaces, so she could manage. It helped that the turtles were incredibly accommodating, and maneuvered themselves out of the way as best they could once she was done unloading each of them.
All told, it was a fairly quiet day at the post office, really.
