Devil's Nest, Monday, 08/31
The school year had begun afresh for the students ... and that included Jack. His law classes hadn't even started yet, but he still had emails from professors to answer and textbooks to buy and (as always) paperwork to fill in.
He busied himself at the bar with all of that, but not before eyeing Tiny's sign of the day skeptically.
New drink today: Glitter rum!
The squirrels, he suspected, had been busy.

Re: Lounge [8/31]
"I need to tell Edward glitter rum is a real thing."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
She was here to keep an eye on Anders and the newcomers, not to drink alcohol, thank you. "Why would one put glitter in rum? At best, you will not notice it, at worst it is a hazard."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
She wasn't drinking either, for what it was worth.

Re: Lounge [8/31]
She locked her eyes on Merrill. "Another apostate. How wonderful."
Well, at least she knew now her decision to come here and supervise the mage had been the right one.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Yes, she'd paid enough attention to that radio...thing to know exactly who she was talking about and what reaction it might get.

Re: Lounge [8/31]
"Ooooh, someone's possessive, I bet there's a story there." One that involved everything being sparkly.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"One you are not getting," she said, and took a sip of her (decidedly unalcoholic in a non-joking capacity) drink.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Besides, it wasn't like Isabela would be quite this blatant to his face, unless she really needed to distract Cassandra.
"Who needs details when you have imagination?" Glitter and some kind of scented oils, yes it definitely needed those.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Pirate.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
He slid his glass a few inches toward Isabela, just in case she wanted to add to it from that bottle that totally didn't have alcohol in it.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"If I'm old enough to get married, I should be old enough to buy a drink," she said.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Yes. That would be the implication there.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
She sounded so very upset about it too. It was why she needed the sparkles. To grieve.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Or not.
"How did that happen?" Anders asked, after a slurp of his glitter-enriched soda. "The getting married part. Or the widowed part. Whichever's a better story."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"The widowing involved him being killed by my elven lover," Isabela said with a shrug. "Antivans."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
She had already decided she wasn't much fond of this one.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"That's not true, some of it's downright dull."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Merrill's affinity for gossip? This was how it got started. Right here.
"If that's what you call dull, what must exciting be like?"
Re: Lounge [8/31]
He was at least as interested in the gossip as Merrill, but trying to be more subtle about it.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Nobody cared about their honor, Cassie.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"Zevran was anything but dull," Isabela assured Merrill. "An artist with his blade, both actual and metaphorical."
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Oh, honey.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Thank you, Cass.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
Isabela, stop.

Re: Lounge [8/31]
"It is sexual innuendo," she said and oh lord, Cassandra, please don't. "And highly immature."

Re: Lounge [8/31]
Well, okay, Anders had. But you helped.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
"I missed something, didn't I."
It wasn't a question.
Re: Lounge [8/31]
He took a long swallow of glittery soda before answering. "Nothing you needed to know, really," he said. "So, double entendres aren't a big thing for the Dalish?"
