First National Bank of Fandom Town, Saturday morning

The Fandom Bank was nice and quiet on a Saturday morning. The tellers were going about their business, well aware that there was a chance somebody might stop in to talk about their long-forgotten accounts or something. They didn't expect it to be so windy. But Fandom indoor windstorms... Whatcha gonna do, right?

Unfortunately for them, IT WAS NO INDOOR WIND STORM. James had a rule back when he was in Fandom the first time: don't commit any crimes closer than 20 miles. Maybe 10 in a pinch. But definitely not on the island. But whatever, he was in town and people would be distracted by the reunion stuff. So Speed Demon zoomed into the bank, loaded up several bags, ran around enough to make it seem like regular wind, and zoomed back to the door.

Unexpectedly, he was caught in a web as he sprinted outside. "Crap," he said as he crashed to the ground.

[OOC: For people needing to use the bank or gawk at the supervillain dumb enough to commit a crime today. But not for stopping/catching him because that part is to roll out some of my characters. :D ]

"Hey, idiot," Jessica said as she landed next to him. "Even if I wasn't here because the Trooper Station is right there, this place is crammed with way more people than usual right now. You can't run ten feet without running into some kind of hero."

"Whoa there! I'm pretty sure you were under arrest. I'd stay put until the officer is done if I were you," Peter said, pulling his web line to drag Speed Demon back. "Hey, Jess. Long time."

"Seriously? Is that really you?" Jessica asked, rushing over to hug the Spider-Man she was reasonably sure was the same one who helped her out with Verna. "I've been trying to get in touch for months!"

"Oh, come on. I'm dead. You don't have to worry about me keeping you," Ben said with a friendly chuckle. "He's the one you have to worry about." Ben pointed behind him.

As Speed Demon turned around, Flash drew a pair of automatic pistols in Speed Demon's face. The Venom symbiote sprouted several tendrils, each one holding another gun on Speed Demon at a close distance. "So you surrender, right?"

"Yeah, you just became fourth on my list of priorities right now," Jessica said. "But whatever, we're all going. You too, Ben. And, um, big guy. Do me a favor and carry the fast guy?"

"My pleasure," Flash said. As all of the armed tendrils retracted into the suit, Flash hit Speed Demon with a slap on the back, spreading tendrils all over him for secure carrying. By the time Flash lifted him off the ground, James was completely encased in black from the neck down.

"Hey, guys! Can I come too? This is some kind of arachnid thing, right?" The Tick asked as he jumped down from a nearby rooftop.

Peter sighed. "Sorry, Former Dean The Tick," Peter said. "It's kind of a Spider thing only. We've got some catching up to do."

"No problem, chum! As long as somebody's fighting the good fight to protect our local bank and other institutions. Because banks are like--"

"Let's go, quick," Peter suggested to the group as The Tick got rolling. "This metaphor could take a while."
