You know how there were gremlins wandering around and biting people into thinking they were zombies? You know what you didn't want getting bitten. Actual damn zombies. Kitty, Tino and the flamingo (don't ask) had managed to get the zombies offstage and safely locked up for the day, so at least anyone coming in didn't have to worry about getting bitten by more than gremlins.

And anyone who'd been bitten by gremlins and now thought they were a zombie. Look, Kitty couldn't protect you from everything, though at least there was a sanctuary spell here.

YOU SPENT A GOOD PART OF YOUR YOUTH HERE!
COME DRINK AGAIN!

[Come get drunk! Catch up! Make bad choices! Get into fights and end up in the pond!]

The Fandom Bank was nice and quiet on a Saturday morning. The tellers were going about their business, well aware that there was a chance somebody might stop in to talk about their long-forgotten accounts or something. They didn't expect it to be so windy. But Fandom indoor windstorms... Whatcha gonna do, right?

Unfortunately for them, IT WAS NO INDOOR WIND STORM. James had a rule back when he was in Fandom the first time: don't commit any crimes closer than 20 miles. Maybe 10 in a pinch. But definitely not on the island. But whatever, he was in town and people would be distracted by the reunion stuff. So Speed Demon zoomed into the bank, loaded up several bags, ran around enough to make it seem like regular wind, and zoomed back to the door.

Unexpectedly, he was caught in a web as he sprinted outside. "Crap," he said as he crashed to the ground.

[OOC: For people needing to use the bank or gawk at the supervillain dumb enough to commit a crime today. But not for stopping/catching him because that part is to roll out some of my characters. :D ]

And as the fans' rings had been taken, and the convention ended, and people's lives began returning to the way they should be, it was time for the fans to leave.

Or more specifically, it was time for the fans to be herded out to the causeway with their things by a... responsible adult? so they couldn't pull a fast one and try to stay.

"Okay, keep moving, chums!" The Tick called out. "Louise, I see you over there, trying to break off! Back in line! Don't think of this as being shepherded for your own good. For one thing, it's for the good of Fandom! For another, you're not sheep! You're people, with thoughts, and feelings, and passions, and very little wool during these warm summer months! I'm only here to herd you so that your fandom doesn't get you or anyone in Fandom in trouble! Because the road to trouble is built with a casual disregard for other people and..."

He kept going on like that.

[Bye, fans! As of this post, everyone in Fandom will have their lives go back to normal. Feel free to use this post for reactions!]

As it turned out, conventions were super easy to organize when you had the power to make everything happen, so guess what you had to deal with today, Fandom! That's right, overnight the community center had been taken over by as many NPC fans of Fandom High that could possibly fit in it, and everyone was so happy to be able to mingle with other fans, or share fan art, or buy merchanise, because oh yes, there was merchandise.

Not to worry, though, Fandom: the original six fans were the only ones who could make anything happen to you. So at least you only had to worry about six people ruining your lives! Bright side!

So come one, come all, and see whether or not you got creeped out by people wearing shirts with your face on them!

No matter what the weather was on the mainland, the weather over the Fandom had warmed up to a beautiful spring evening, just perfect for a night of dancing.

A large tent had been set up in the park and it glowed with the soft light of what seemed like a million small white lights. The path leading up to the tent crossed a small bridge and then split, one walkway leading up to the tent, the other leading to the pond where a small dock had been set up. Two gondolas were waiting to take anyone who wished to go on a ride around the pond.

Inside the tent, numerous colorful backdrops made it seem like the students had been transported to Saint Mark's Square. The only thing missing were the pigeons.

Off to one side stood a table with a box for the final votes for the Prom Court.

It was time for Prom 2007.

[OOC: Up early for Slow-play. Please wait for the extensive OCD. Have at it!]

Following his chat in the park with Phoebe, Bond decided a swim would give him a good chance to clear his head and think a bit. The weather was a little too cold for ocean bathing, even by his standards, so he walked through town until he found what he was looking for -- a full-service gym with a pool.

[ooc: Atlas is an NPC establishment, and totally moddable. I'll set up a thread for the pool, feel free to jump in or to start your own thread for any other part of the gym.]

GOB was about to make a huge mistake. Worse yet, he was advertising it.

TONIGHT ONLY!
AN ILLUSION SO GREAT YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT!

A Magician Named GOB Presents:
THE RABBIT-O-CYCLE

It was tonight that GOB realized the glory of his new dance floor. It gave him an even bigger stage to play on! Sure, it wasn't raised, but this brought him closer to the people. And that's what was really important, the people. And how much they would be in awe of his illusion.

[OOC: Bye bye dance floor. Employees, please go back to using the Lounge thread.]

The music is playing, the City Hall is still aglow, and some of the streamers are still up. The DVD players are still projecting 3D images of the cities. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere, including the students.

[ooc: Post is currently closed. open. Wait for the music though. We are good to go! Move at your own pace through the two posts and have fun!]

Benefit of living in an old, creaky, Victorian house?

Gas heating.

Becky was curled up in a chair in the lobby next to a fireplace, a blanket pulled around her shoulders.

She and Miho would have a good laugh when the girls and Jarod got back from fleeing to the school. Ha.

[ooc: Specifically open for someone - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, OMG - but if you're pretty much anyone who isn't out to kill our girls, you're welcome to stop by and try to take refuge.]

Lorne is dressed once again in his sequined cowboy outfit and cowboy hat.

"Yee-Haw Partners! It's C&W night at Rancho Caritas! Come on down and sing about losing your lover, truck and dog to twangy music! Wahoo!"

[OOC: Other songs are always welcome. The Host is in!]

At the next :30 on your clock (about 15 minutes from now, or whenever who you're fighting/with moves)

Move the battle over here. We're coming up on 200 comments in our first thread.

The comment threads will remain the same so you can find your people.

For the school perimeter team led by [livejournal.com profile] wraithbaitjohn only!

Use this post to actually play once the zombies show up.

I'll set up comment threads for the three teams so that we can have an organized ambush. And a thread for the Zombies to start.

[ooc: if this is like... so not how to do this, just holler]
