It was that time agaaaaaain! There was a sign on the door and a banner above the stage.

CARITAS PRESENTS
THREE MINUTE DATES


Or maybe, perchance, you totally missed it somehow, and didn't run from the bar before Tino could sign you up for dates. It happens!

And then a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage under the banner, to a drumroll from the zombie drummer.

"Hello and welcome to another installment of Three Minute Dates!" Kitty began. "In case you're new to this, in a couple minutes I'm going to call out sets of names. You'll find that person, talk to them for a whole three minutes. When you hear this siren-" Oh, that was an obnoxious air horn sound. "-you'll get a new person to talk to. If you got sucked into this without your knowledge, sorry, and also it's fifteen minutes of your life, make some new friends!"

It was not unusual that things lingered with Octavia after therapy. That was sort of the point, after all, giving her tools for processing things. But it was unusual that something her therapist had said - especially as barely more than an off-handed mention - lingered so prominently that even after Octavia had taken her usual post-therapy detour to the pool before returning to the island again, she found herself reluctant to return to the port just yet. Like she wanted to do some research, do some thinking somewhere other than home for a little bit longer.

And that was how she found herself at the Perk in the afternoon, sitting by a window with several similar tabs open on her phone as she pored over them, one by one.

A big cup of coffee and a nondescript muffin sat on a plate next to her, untouched.
