Kitty had sent messages to the class to meet at the Holoscene for class today, since an actual community center wouldn't cut it all of the time. And the only reason she didn't walk through the wall for this particular class was because she didn't know the tech well enough to know that she wouldn't short it out.
"Powers," she began. "Most superheroes have them. It's not a prerequisite, you can just be really skilled at something. But people do link superheroes and powers. You can even base your whole identity off of them, though I would personally recommend keeping that to your superhero identity and keeping your own stuff separate, but that's a topic for another class. And honestly, they're great for most people. I've also known people who have had powers that make it hard to fit in, were hard to contain, or just made life more difficult. It can be a mixed bag.
"I, for instance, can phase through solid objects," she said, dropping u to the floor up to her knees like it was nothing. "My natural state is intangible these days, and for the most part it's great. I haven't known where the keys to my office at the bar are for years and I don't need them anyway, I can get in anywhere, and most things can't hurt me. However twice now I've also gotten stuck intangible and had to be contained in tubes or suits so I didn't dissipate and die. Like I said, a mixed bag. So I want to know your powers, if you have them. If you can safely demonstrate your powers here, go for it. If there are downsides, you can talk about it. And then, we're gonna try some other stuff."
