Harriet woke early, well before dawn. Yesterday had been a moment out of time, one she would always remember and be grateful for.

She left Tony sleeping, kissing him once lightly before she left. She didn't write a note.

The walk through town was slow and thoughtful, and she stopped at 18 Apocalypse Avenue only long enough to pack her bag and collect the cat. She wouldn't leave Mustang behind; he was all she had to remember Sarah Kerrigan by.

She reached the Causeway with time before her portal arrived, and she set bag and carrier down, turning to look at Fandom. The sun was just rising, and the island was slowly coming to life.

With a deep breath, eyes shining as she remembered how much they'd been through together, she bid it farewell and turned away.

It was time.

When Harriet Jones stepped through the portal, she didn't look back.

[ooc: And so Harriet goes to rejoin her canon. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to play her here in Fandom, and thank you to everyone who made that both possible and wonderful.]

Dad had always called Sarah an enterprising kind of girl. So she enterprised her way to the beach where there were waves and sand castles to be built just like back home. She flopped in the sand and--

She didn't have a bucket. Oops.

With a concentrated frown, she set to work anyway. She was enterprising!

Harriet settled herself comfortably at the table, with a smile of thanks for their server as he replaced a chair with a solid stool.

"I thought you might prefer somewhere near the back," she told her dinner guest. Not to mention a spot she could see the rest of the restaurant and the door. "Are you hungry?"

[ooc: Up waaaaay early for timezonishness and, apart from Harriet's not-a-date thread, open for your Chinese food needs.]

Jaye was kind of sick of the snow. And Antarctica. And she was sort of considering whether or not it was worth taking the causeway to Alexandria to get a hotel. Which was why she grabbed herself a beer when she got to the bar.

Tino didn't even look at her funny anymore, but she still validated it with a "Shut up, I'm keeping warm."
[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com
To say she was still a little shellshocked from her own experience over the weekend would be a severe understatement. Kerrigan sat quiet on the sand, green skin making for an ugly contrast between the sand and her skin.

Oddly enough, it would've been more comforting if she'd been able to shiver about it-- but her new body, as it generally did, kept even stiller than her old one would have.

So she rested her chin on her knees, and tried not to think anything at all.

Hades was irritated. The Nightmares' food had been taken by the raiding party and he'd fallen prey to the oldest distraction in the book. But it didn't matter. That wasn't part of the main plan, it was only a fun side venture. The Nightmares would be able to get food again once they were able to come through to the surface. Fandom would be his soon enough. Enough of Andrew's personal energy and life force had been put into the barrier. It was doing the rest of the work on its own now. Just a little longer and Fandom would be officially connected to Tartarus, making it (by Olympian law) part of the Underworld and his domain.

Just a little longer. Then all he would have to do is appear on the island, grab the nearest live person, transport back here and throw them into the barrier to kill them when it was charging up to make the connection permanent.

So close. So very close.

[OOC: For the finale team!]

The people in charge now knew where the kidnapped people were being kept. A party had gathered and they were on their way to the depths of the Underworld to bring their people back, no matter what stood in their way.

[OOC: For the raiding/rescue party and later in the OCD for the victims too. Please only join in if you specifically signed up for the raiding party.]

Town Hall, All Day

Town Hall was still effectively the center of command as those in charge waited for the away teams to return, and continued to form contingency plans for dealing with Hades. As one of the few safe places in town, no one was being sent away if they wanted to stay, as long as they didn't get in the way.

[OCD is up! Raiding and finale teams, your volunteering spots are in here.]

Each person brought to the catacombs found themselves trapped in a cavern with seemingly no exit. It was cold and lighting was limited and even their own breathing would echo off the walls. The Nightmares were lurking, waiting for fresh minds to taste, to inhale the scent of fear and panic.

Tonight they would feast and the catacombs would fill with screams.

Welcome to the Underworld )

[OOC: Once you've been kidnapped, ping in here. You're welcome to either play your thread out here or play it in your own journal and link to it here. For the sake of keeping things organized, please remember to link everything here. The Nightmares are just generic demons with no particular appearance. They'll look how you want them to look. Remember to check the email you received for any further details. If you need an NPC, head over to the NPC request post, but please remember that you're largely in charge of keeping yourself entertained. Have fun!]

There were ghosts in the streets of Fandom, so many ghosts, as if the gates of death had opened and set them free.

They were pale and lost, aimlessly wandering, confused and alone.

[ooc: Random ghost encounter post! Just put where you are in the subject of your comment, please, to appease my OCD.]

This newest move had been very, very nice to Vala, and in a gesture demonstrating pure boredom overdose of Annette Funicello/Frankie Avalon movies altruism, decided to share her largesse with the inhabitants of Fandom, who seemed to be in desperate need of relaxation.

Not that she'd seen most of them in a while, but that was hardly the point.

Rising early, she'd hired a caterer to provide fully moddable beach foods at appropriate intervals and a bartender to provide drinks with and without alcohol to anyone who requested them.

As the sun went down, she had hopes of a campfire, music (hopefully with singing), or a dance-off of some kind. But not a virgin sacrifice, because that only happened in one movie and therefore involved poetic license on the part of the screenwriter, at least in her opinion. *eyes Xander suspiciously*

As for herself, she'd be stretched out under a shade umbrella enjoying the location and a lovely drink with an umbrella in it. Volcano? What volcano?

[ooc:Beach party! OCD is up, and everyone is welcome!]

Wings folded back and away; Kerrigan pulled the coat a little tighter around her as she felt the wind tug on it. She was trying to focus on something else, some strange sliver of an instinct telling her that if she just-- pulled together.

Under the coat, torn as it was, armor pulled back and in, and the tough, hard shell of the tentacles on her head softened, framing her face more as hair should.

Her next breath should've been choked, wasn't-- preternatural strength that had started to fill the self-conscious spots. And yet, all the focus broke her concentration in other areas, filling her mind with a nigh-endless supply of annoying interference.

Sarah Kerrigan took a breath. It was just a damn beach.

D'Argo was around. Ish. He was around in the way that he stopped in Caritas just long enough to make some sort of excuse about how he should really see how they did things in this Grease place and what kind of bars they had there, and left Tino alone again.

When he got stared at out on Santorini, it would come as a shock to him, yes.
[identity profile] idontlooktired.livejournal.com
There was a break in the rain this morning, and it had left the air cool, the wind whipping off the ocean crisp and clean, as it the salt washed it free of any taint.

Harriet tipped her head back and closed her eyes, just for a moment, before looking down at the young girl holding her hand. "What do you say, Lauren? Does this look like a good spot?"

Lauren was already pulling off her shoes, and Harriet turned to glance at the third member of this very strange trio. "And you, Sarah?" And my, it was hard to remember not to address her by rank. "Does this suit you?"
[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com
All things considered, yesterday had left Kerrigan in an uncharacteristically pleasant mood. The difference was readily apparent to the Perk staff, who danced around the shop with some relief over the course of the morning.

And gladly served her coffee.

She smiled. It was a good day.

Sometime in the afternoon, phone calls started coming in to Zoe from the away teams, with messages of success that made her feel more relieved than she had in days. After talking to Harriet and Kerrigan about what they'd been able to accomplish, the plans to finish this fight finally started to come together, and all that seemed to be left to do was inform the town, and gather more volunteers.

Once again, fliers appeared around town and in the dorms, calling everyone who was left together for a second town meeting. Zoe gave the people who arrived some time to get settled and check in with each other, before she got up to speak.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice," she said. "I'm pleased to say that I have good news to share. All of our travelers have successfully found the information we sent them to search for, and with this information, the administration has come up with two plans: one to stop the angels, and one to bring everyone who's gone missing home."

First, Zoe explained the plan to lure the angels into the preserve which I will not type out again so as to not bore you all, and then she opened the floor to Harriet, to explain how the missing persons were being brought back which has its own OCD thread la la la.

"What we need now are volunteers to deal with the angels, and to make this plan work. I'm not going to lie to you," she said. "It's going to be dangerous, and I know that my job is to keep the students and teachers out of danger as much as possible. But I also know that if anyone can pull this off, it's the people in this town. If we all work together, we can get rid of this threat, and get our friends and family home. If you have any questions before you volunteer, either Dean Jones or I would be happy to answer them."

[I am in no way ashamed of tonight's post subject. If you're a blinker or teleporter, you can handwave coming to the meeting and volunteering, if you want.]

When she was done at the radio station, Zoe left handwavey messages for Hades, Harriet, Fraser, D'Argo, and Roy, and headed to the town hall to meet them all there. She still had the letters with her, and hoped that everyone would arrive soon.

[For those who got the calls!]

It was the day of the welcome picnic. The day of chaos and descending hordes, otherwise known as as the day new teachers and new students arrived.

Harriet needed tea. Harriet needed quite a lot of tea. It was the key to the the successful dealing with descending hordes of all kinds.

Luckily, The Perk was right here, and they knew how to make a mean cup of tea.

[ooc: specifically for one, but open!]

Katara was almost completely unconscious in a cot but the Town Hall's makeshift hospital was ticking over like a well-oiled machine.  Even as volunteers and doctors grew more and more tired, their dedication still won out as each patient was tended to carefully.

[OOC:  And this is the last hospilinic post!  The researchers are very close to a cure which will be administered over the course of the evening (IG and OOC).  Please do be sure to ping in your sickies so they can get cured!]
[identity profile] sexydoctor.livejournal.com
Christian hated feeling this helpless. The number of patients were growing, and nothing was relieving their symptoms. Even the kids with their magic mumbo jumbo could only bring fevers down for a short time.

He didn't want to admit defeat, but things were not looking good.

[ooc: Wait for the OCD! May take a few minutes as we have another space on the floral T-day bingo card. And, also, the huge pile of sick people. OCD is up, you may commence being ill.]
[identity profile] geniusdoctor.livejournal.com
Doogie was not at all happy about how the emergency clinic looked when he came in. There were too many people there, too many students, not to mention the baby, and he had a moment of feeling helpless before he pulled himself together and got down to business. There had to be something that could be done to help everyone.

[OCD of doom is up! I'm heading home right now, so if there are any problems, e-mail me at celestialnature@gmail.com and I'll fix them around 7:15 when I get home. Tags will be added then too.]
[identity profile] sexydoctor.livejournal.com
Christian was upset when he found out one of the kids had died the day before and was pissed at himself for taking the day off. The island had been through a lot while he'd been here, but one of the kids dying was unacceptable. He was frustrated by his inability to reach anyone outside the island. No ordering more supplies, no consulting with contagious disease experts. If it had only been the adults sick he might have been trying to head for the hills to save his own ass, but he wasn't about to abandon the kids. They had to find a way to stop this. Especially because now a baby was sick.

[ooc: Plz wait for the massive OCD is up! Thursday mornings are a little crazy here, so I will probably be SP until noon or so. Comment notifications are off, so ping me in the OOC thread if you need me.
