Marshall hadn't been too upset to find that all of his clothes had turned pirate-y overnight. Weirded out, yes. But upset? No, not really. He just put on an outfit that looked a lot like his Halloween costume a couple years back and headed out. Marshall had been keeping the cockamouse caged in his office since he had captured it on Thursday. It had been well behaved (well, as well behaved as a cockamouse could be) and Marshall felt it deserved a reward. So he decided to take it to the Perk for brunch.

"Here you go little nameless cockamouse," Marshall said, shoving a piece of muffin into the cockamouse's cage. He'd really have to give it a name soon. "Maybe after we're done breakfast I'll take you to the hotel. You must be lonely cooped up in my office..."

[Yeah, like I'm not going to take advantage of having this icon. Open!]

Vala hadn't really noticed anything too out of the ordinary as she got dressed that morning, until she realized that what she was wearing not only had higher heels than her usual boots, but that the clothes also weren't made from leather. They also came with a hat.

"Huh."

Still, she finished dressing (and wore her own boots, thank you very much) and made her way to the diner, visibly cheerful and humming as she walked. Even the fact that the chairs seemed to have been...appropriated...during the night didn't bother her overly. She was adaptable, and she hoped someone got a nice price for them.

The diner opened an hour late, as Vala had to find rugs and blankets and cushions so people would have somewhere to sit, assuming they weren't in a booth or at the counter. It was probably better not to ask where she got them, but at least Lacey wouldn't have to worry about reimbursing her.

She really liked Tortuga.

There was more humming and even singing as she wrote out the Specials board:

Specials:

Hard tack
Bone soup
Freshly squeezed orange juice

The current exhibit had been up for a while now, and Charlotte was really feeling that it was time for a new one to come in. She wanted to do something really different this time, though, and she knew it would take a lot of organization, which wasn't a problem at all for her, and a lot of advertising. So, in between making sure the Sunday tea was kept up, she sat at the front desk, thoughtfully sketching out potential posters.

The York Gallery is open!

When Logan woke up this morning his pants weren't jeans, his flannel shirt was a poofy blouse-type thing, and his boots and belt looked like they belonged on his costume. But it all still fit, so that wasn't going to bother him.

When he got to the gym, he decided to skip the whole office thing and go straight to the sparring room to work on his swordwork. You know, just in case.

Sam staggered into Stark Industries, laden down with bags of groceries. Since he couldn't figure out what he was supposed to actually do with the groceries, he shrugged and put them down on the nearest horizontal, semi-clean surface. It was no skin off his nose if something went bad or whatever, he figured.

Then he looked around the shop and said, mostly to himself, "So, uh. Now what?"

Considering the whole theme both islands had going, Roy couldn't be too surprised at the change that had happened outside. The troopers seemed rather excited about the whole thing and Roy had already confiscated several cutlasses and eye patches.

They'd scurried off to do their patrols and now Roy was left with the confiscated goods. He weighed one of the cutlasses in his hand, trying to find its balance and he really should find out where the troopers had gotten these from to begin with. Maybe it was best not to know.

Overnight, the entire island appeared to have gone through some sort of timewarp. Pirate ships sailed around Fandom, and the view of Tortuga was radically changed.

There were pirate costumes to go with the brand new view, as many of Fandom's clothes had morphed into period appropriate clothing.

Welcome to Tortuga, circa 1640, home of the Brethren of the Coast! Tread carefully, for these are lawless waters and Tortuga is at their centre.

[posts coming up in fh_trips shortly are up for adventures on Tortuga, or you can play them in your own journals.]

Jolee was sitting behind the bar.

Tino - wearing full pirate regalia, including a hat and eyepatch - was on the bar, swashbuckling with a broom.

It was going to be one of those nights.

Harriet settled herself comfortably at the table, with a smile of thanks for their server as he replaced a chair with a solid stool.

"I thought you might prefer somewhere near the back," she told her dinner guest. Not to mention a spot she could see the rest of the restaurant and the door. "Are you hungry?"

[ooc: Up waaaaay early for timezonishness and, apart from Harriet's not-a-date thread, open for your Chinese food needs.]
