Shilo was adjusting to her new schedule at the gallery, so she arrived a little bit late. She pulled out some homework and began reading.

[no OCD because I need to go to bed for a 7:15 meeting ommmmmmmg]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo was happy for, if nothing else, air conditioning.

She swept up the gallery and took her place behind the desk, and began browsing Google Books for something to read.

The gallery is open.

[I ain't up to the OCD today cuz it's too darn hot]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo was early getting in today, and was planning on working on the last section of her story for Creative Writing.

What she ended up doing was writing for about twenty minutes, and then spending the rest of the day playing My Zoo on Facebook.

Damned game was so addictive.

The York Gallery is open!

[OCD up]

Shilo was still in somewhat of a sugar coma today. She got the floor swept up and put out a bowl of leftover candy from the previous night's festivities before starting to doze at the reception desk.

"'Girl thing' my ass," she mumbled, thinking of the previous night's radio broadcast. "It was totally open to guys too..."

The York Gallery is open.
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo was so damned tired this morning that she skipped the sweeping and went right to the desk. She had planned on working on her creative writing story, but seemed to immediately doze off as soon as she sat down. And while she slept, she dreamed...

She awoke with a start a half hour later. "What the hell was that about?" she said aloud, looking around the gallery to check if anyone had come in while she'd napped.

[The OCD got dusted too.]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo had gotten to work this morning completely on time only to find that some of the island's squirrels had decided to break in during the night and host their own art show.

"C'mon, get lost!" she protested, trying to chase them off with the broom while they hurried to rescue their tiny paintings and plates of hors d'oeuvres. "I'm trying to open the gallery! Get out of here!"

After a half-hour, and a tiny bottle of red wine spilled, Shilo had them all gone, and was now cleaning up the gallery floor. This could take a while.

[OCD up, though I'll be sparse until 8 tonight]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Sigh. Another beautiful day with Shilo stuck in the gallery. "Oh well," she said, while sweeping, "at least last night was fun." She finished up earlier than usual, and wandered around for a bit, inadvertantly coming across the Sunday tea supplies. "Oooh!"

A few moments later, Shilo was back from a handwavy trip to T&C with lemons and a bag of ice, and had extra-strong tea brewing. As soon as the tea was done and cooling, she went to the desk and made a sign to put in the window.

Beat the heat with some iced tea and the air conditioned comfort of our gallery!

The York Gallery is open. Shilo settled in behind the desk with a glass of iced tea and began working on her creative writing story.

Yesterday had been one of those days for awkward conversation, apparently, and today Katchoo was largely subdued. When she wasn't drawing, she was reading her battered old copy of Elegant Waste, and when she wasn't doing that, she was staring distractedly out the window.

Not much thinking going on, though. Mostly distraction.

[OOC: OCD, post, and my brain all *fzzt*-ded from lack of sleep today. SP may be more S than usual.]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
So what if it was a Monday night? She had a concert she was going to put on, damn it.

She was choosing to believe that her back-up dancers fellow Dolls were stuck in traffic, or had found really cute guys and were late getting back from hanging out with them. And that the lack of chairs, audio equipment, and lights meant that this was a charity event.

"HELLO OUT THERE!" she yelled to whoever may be passing by. "Are y'all ready to get down?!"

If anyone caught this on tape, Shilo would probably die from embarrassment, if not from shock caused by the revelation 'dear God where have I been hiding those BOOBS.

[Still under the effects of her gremlin bite, so Shilo aka Nicole is putting on a concert for Fandom. Open like a park is.]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Of course it was nice out the day that Shilo had to work, and entertain herself for a whole day. She huffed as she went around with her broom, sweeping up as she always did.

Well, at least there was her creative writing prompt to work on while she was here. As soon as the broom was back in the closet and she was at the desk, she pulled her laptop out and began brainstorming on it.

The York Gallery is open.

York Gallery [7/2]

Eve was in a decent mood as she opened the gallery, not too solemn but not too bouncy, either. It was just one of those middle-of-the-road kind of days.

Plus, hey, newbie shuttle! Newbie shuttle meant an influx of new people to get to know and terrorize. For a couple weeks, anyway.

After she finished with opening the gallery, Eve sat at the desk and started writing a list of notes for K-Mart about Savannah. Because if anybody could tell the best friend how to keep Savannah upbeat (or at least as upbeat as possible) now that Johnny was gone, it was Eve. And yes, she titled it "The Care and Feeding of Savannah Levine."

"Good afternoon. It's nice to see all of you again," Morgana said, once everyone had arrived and gotten settled. "It seems that the game of choice this week is hide and seek, as those of you who are in the other groups are aware, and we think the game's skills might apply to our group as well. When you're coming to the aid of a fighter, you can't always wait for them to return home looking to be bandaged. Sometimes, you can't even wait for the battle to be over, as dangerous as that might be. Since we're not looking to put anyone in harm's way, we figured that a more entertaining scenario might be better."

If she was grinning a bit wickedly, it couldn't be helped. "We'd like everyone to split into three groups. Group one will be our "fighters" - you all get to find hiding places somewhere in the woods. Group two will be our rescuers - you get to try to find our fighters, so they can be tended to. As for group three, you're the enemy. Everyone is going to be armed," she said, pointing to the pile of water guns Francine had procured for the afternoon. "Group three, your job is to try to stop the others from finding anyone. Put them in the line of fire and try not to get wet yourselves."

It was Amber's last day of work and as she'd promised Turtle, she was buffing the floors with a big assed industrial buffer that was pulling her the crap everywhere.

Whatever. She was going to get the marks from her tap shoes out if it killed her. Just, you know, get out of her freaking way.

Shilo wasn't one hundred percent certain, but she was fairly sure as she swept up the Gallery that she was one of the few people who was sad to see finals happen. She was getting comfortable with the routine of going to classes, and to switch now seemed rather disconcerting.

She set up with her laptop and began idly doodling in her notebook that she hadn't needed, seeing as there were no notes to really go over for her last two classes, but she was so used to carrying it down here at this point that it'd gone in her bag without a second thought. "I wonder if Arthur and I are going to catch hell from Edna," she said aloud.

The York Gallery is open.

Today was the day, and Shilo was... well, antsy. She rushed around the gallery in her usual tidying-up routine, and then sat at the desk and stared at the clock. Occasionally she'd tear her attention away to double check her bag, which sat at her feet and was much fuller than usual.

The York Gallery is open but neurotic today.

It would seem that sleepiness had a delayed effect on Turtle; either that, or she was up too late with radio, plus the whole fire drill thing, adding up to her feeling a little groggy at work. She considered getting herself some coffee, but coffee still tasted gross to her, and she was settling in with what she figured might be the only redeamable form of coffee.

Squishy form.

Morgana still wasn't entirely certain what CPR was, even after Francine had tried to explain it to her, but she supposed that was the point of the meeting this week. They'd taken over the same picnic shelter, to make themselves nice and easy to find in case the extra posters didn't do the trick, and had tried to make sure there was enough space cleared for the demonstration.

If they ended up with more boys today than they'd had last week, there'd be no complaining. Probably.

[Aaaaand the OCD is up!]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Why yes, that was Shilo doing her usual cleaning up routine around the Gallery in a cute dress. And humming to herself rather cheerfully.

When she finished, she sat down at the desk, took out her laptop, and began playing around with Garage Band, since she wanted to start trying to record songs on the weekends. She brushed a curl out of her face, and smiled.

As far as she was concerned, it was going to be a good day.

[OCD up soon is ALWAYS ready! It's BEEN ready since first call!]

Early enough in the morning that normal people would glare and throw a pillow at Francine if she wasn't polite enough to be quiet about getting up and out of the dorms, posters began appearing, first in the dorm building, then around town.

Cut for your friendslist's pleasure )

One might or might not run into a rather smiley, chipper girl putting them up and humming June is Bustin' Out All Over in between deep breaths of the flower-scented air.

[OOC: Establishy but open for reactions. Or if you'd like to run into Francine putting them up, sure. Just make it clear in narrative or an ooc note, if so!]

Shilo had discovered the flowers on her way to work, and was deeply shaken by the emotions she felt.

Consequently, she had cleaned the Gallery to within an inch of it's life- no pollen here, thank you kindly- and was curled up behind the desk with her laptop, looking up monologues for her drama requirement.

She just hoped that the Gallery would continue to be as quiet as it usually had...

[OCD is en route... now up!]

Shilo had stopped to get a coffee, so she was later than she meant to be in arriving at the gallery. But Charlotte wasn't angrily waiting at the door with one designer shoe rhythmically tapping the floor, so she figured it wasn't a problem. This time, anyway.

She swept the floors, and then went to the desk and pulled out her laptop. And decided to goof off on the Internet, in order to keep herself away.

[Rain, rain, leave me be, today there is no OCD.]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo had decided to go for a walk, despite the rainy weather, and found herself in the Preserve. A large moth caught her attention, perched on a log to her left.

"Oh, let me have a jar," she murmured, digging through her bag- and finding two. "Okay, okay, quiet Shi, quiiiiiiiiet..." She started creeping up on the moth, oddly silent in those big black boots she always wore. "Just a little bit closer..."

Cafe Fina, Sunday

Today was going to be a very interesting day at Cafe Fina.

Today was going to be the day that the dishes devoted to curing Zack of his uncultured small-town ways and his terrible lack of knowledge regarding all things kitchen-related.

Today, they were going to pick the specials! Only the finest in French cuisine at Cafe Fina this Sunday! And then they were going to make Zack sample each item!

Today's Specials:
Coq au Vin
Escargots
Bœuf Bourguignon
Crêpes Suzette

Sure, Zack had been a little leery about being presented a plate full of snails, but he managed to get through the rest of the meal with minimum fuss before actually turning his attention to the escargot. It took a bit of fiddling, but he finally managed to figure out the tongs and get one piece into his mouth without freaking out and running out the door.

"Hey, guys! This is pretty good!" The dishes heaved a collective sigh of relief. "Can I have some ketchup for this?"

... And that was when the dishes gave up. Zack was a completely lost cause.

[Open Fina is open like an open thing!]

Showing up a few minutes early wasn’t a bad thing, right? Right! It wasn’t like she had anything better to do, after a day spent mostly reading and being vaguely weirded out by the fact that enough people had magic here for there to be a club.

And vaguely, almost guiltily wondering if she was supposed to go, because Jeanne had power. But Maron didn’t, and it was Maron who was determinedly attempting to be a completely normal girl thank-you-very-much. Which would be why she’d not gone, and was now doing the perfectly normal thing of waiting for her friend to show up so they could do dinner.

Yay dinner!

[Maron is here for Shilo, but the restaurant is open for any of your other Thai needs.]
[identity profile] 17andinfected.livejournal.com
Shilo entered the gallery, lugging her backpack off one shoulder. She was actually in pretty good spirits today, having finally gotten out of this weekend's mope-fest over everyone disparaging her crush on Arthur.

She swept the gallery and reception area, finding that it helped her get into the feel of work, and then set up at the desk with a granola bar, a bottle of juice, and a few blank sheets of paper. Come hell or high water, Shilo was going to figure out a logo for Edna's class that would impress that crazy little woman, damn it. And it was going to be today.

The York Gallery is open!

[OOC: OCD will be up shortly!]
[identity profile] gods-gymnast.livejournal.com
It was her first day on her first job ever and Maron was staring at the register like it was a demon as she studied all the buttons and hoped that she didn’t screw it up at all.

At least Bob seemed okay! That was reassuring. Something she couldn’t mess up with as she went between the register and checking the aisles to see what was in them (which seemed to be almost everything ever and how was she supposed to remember where it all went?) and fretting.

Okay, so she also took a bit of time to inspect the glitter. Why was it raining glitter? It was amazing but Maron couldn’t think of a reason for it! Weird. But pretty.

Turtle & Canary is Open!

Shilo arrived at the York Gallery as soon as she'd gotten up and dressed, nervous for her first day of work. She didn't see Charlotte immediately, so she wandered around until she'd found a maintenance closet, located a broom, and quickly swept the floor in the gallery and reception area. Once that was done, she found a large black marker and fixed the sign so it now read:

THE YORK GALLERY
is now hiring for positions at the reception desk

As it had been for him, bringing his 'little sister' to get ice cream was a must in making certain she felt at ease here.

And perhaps he wanted a bit of ice cream for himself, after all.

Really, she should just be glad he wasn't cruel and would never attempt to feed her raw fish.

"I find, the chocolate ones can be a bit much."
