Though she did not know it, it was her last shift. Viki hummed as she wandered the aisles, considering the fact that there was a party of some sort tonight, and she could go, while rearranging things that she thought were off, and wondering just if she wanted another sketchbook.

She weighed them carefully in her hand, but decided not. No one needed many things to carry, and she had enough for her.

It was the day before graduation. The day before pomp and circumstance, diplomas, smiling seniors and proud guests. What better way to spend that day then partying the night away? That's right, tonight was the night of the senior lock in! Many NPC workers had been busy in town, cleaning up and setting up an abandoned warehouse for the event.

Now, the front of the warehouse was lit up with neon signs and stanchions that would lead the seniors into a huge building where not one speck of floor space wasn't being used for something fun. There was loud music pumping through the building and strobe lights were swirling around the area, lighting up the room in blues, reds, greens, yellows and various other colors. Decorations of all kinds painted the walls, giving the room a party like atmosphere.

Of course, it would just be a regular ole party, right? Nothing surprising would happen, right? Oh, of course. No surprises. Riiiiiight.

The senior lock in was open and it was time for the seniors to get their party on!

[Posted early for super duper SP! This is for seniors only. OCD is good to go! Have fun! Comments are off so, if you need me, ping the OOC thread or email me!

ETA: And there's something going down here! Have fun there and please please continue to play in the party beforehand. It's your party, seniors, please enjoy it!

It was routine to offer specials. Viki was in great defiance of the specials board today, deliberately leaving it blank and doodling little stars and trees on it instead.

There. It was her art project for the day, and she was perfectly happy with that. Something that was not the same—always enjoyable.

She cheerfully ignored the few looks this got her from the other staff. Really they were rather used to her by now.

All around there were people talking about leaving, and it being the end of the year (though she wasn’t sure, exactly, why the end of the year had been moved—had it not been good and well set earlier in the year?).

Viki wasn’t entirely sure how all of this affected her, but it had her on a peculiar edge of half worry-half anticipation as things coming to an end generally meant, for her, that she would be leaving. Generally meant, though, was not for certain, and she’d begun making sure she always had the things she needed with her.

She browsed the supplies, trying to decide if she really did need a few more sketchbooks or not.

It was getting rather warm out, Viki decided, as she snagged a cushion from one of the couches and took it back behind the counter with her. Not too warm, of course, but nicer. Better by far than the winter.

Though it was an expected change, and half-way idly she wished for one that was at least a little less expected.

Somehow, Viki found this unfair.

Doodling in her sketchbook, she hummed to herself.

Viki yawned, rubbing her eyes, and resting her head against the front desk for a moment, before making herself sit up straight. At work, she could at least pretend to be industrial, that that meant no sleeping on the job.

Even if she was tired, and trying to puzzle out why. As far Viki could remember she’d slept just fine the night before. “One of those days,” she commented to one of the cleaning staff as they passed by.

The zombies were still around, and Viki considered simply vanishing—it was not, after all, she figured that anyone would miss her—and not coming back to the island. Leave it to the shambles it was becoming. Shambles born from rank stench, mournful eyes, death and tears.

She cared not for it. Her spot today was much like yesterday’s, on the front step of the hotel, and her mood was solemnly contemplative as she studied the area; vanishing any zombies that dared try to move her.

Mid-morning, or thereabouts, she cast a glance to the sky. "Joy bleeds," Viki informed it, and didn’t bother explaining herself.

The sky, after all, would know better than she what was meant.

Viki was sitting neatly cross-legged in front of the shop she was, technically, in charge of for the day, and had her wand resting across her lap. She didn’t really need it, after all, as any zombie that got anywhere near her was promptly teleported into the ocean.

She wondered, idly, when anyone was going to track down their hideout and get rid of this infestation, because without a leader to follow, she certainly wasn’t. With an idle sweep on one hand, another zombie disappeared.

Though, Viki mused, at least she was serving as bait? It was not, after all, as if they would get the chance to touch her. Pah, zombies. They weren’t scary at all. Of course, she had experience. And a marked lack of common sense.

Viki was in the mood for muffins. Her big problem, though, as she realized when she sat down with a basket of them, was that she had no idea what sort of muffin she wanted.

Maybe it was good that she’d gotten a solid selection? She contemplated the basket ruefully before picking one at random. Oh, poppy seed and lemon, that wasn’t bad, she supposed, though lemon was always a little weird in muffins…

Ammy had left their apartment this morning feeling more free than usual. The pair hadn't noticed the lack of power much, what with a thick coat of fur, and no dependence on modern technology, the two were perfectly content, at least until Amateratsu decided to go outside. The weather reminder her of Kamui and the other northern lands, and she wanted to play in the snow like she did back in Wep'keer. She had tried to peacefully get Issun to join her be he had just given her a look.

"Listen poochie. I may come from North, but that doesn't mean I like the cold! I like it warm so all the babes wear less clothes! If you're going out, I ain't comin'."

And so she'd chomped him up into her mouth and brought him by force. She seemed quite proud of her deviousness, but no one but Issun could really tell what she was thinking. She opened her mouth and Issun leapt out indignently. "Oh no you didn't! My handsome self is now covered in slobber! You OWE me furball! You better find me date or something."

Ammy seemed to shrug it off, as much as a wolf can shrug, and Ammy began to roll a snowball with her head while Issun sat on her back, shivering from the dog drool.
