Just when you thought it was time for the island's collective consciousness to maybe move on from the whole sharkicane thing... along came Homecoming! Well, the theme was actually "Under the Sea", but like the Student Council wasn't going to have glitter-encrusted sharks feature heavily in the decorations? Please.

Of course, it wasn't just sharks: there were plenty of glitter-dolphins, and fish, and octopuses octopi octopodes too. Jellyfish-shaped lights hung from the ceiling, and strategically-placed LED projectors were set up to complete the underwater ambiance.

It had taken a substantial amount of coaxing, but Eric had managed to convince FN-2187 to at least consider purchasing some new clothes. That his 'sibling' didn't have any funds of his own wasn't a particular concern. Eric certainly had more than enough spending money to cover a few outfits, so long as they stayed away from the really high-end fashion stuff. Which... Eric was guessing wouldn't be much a of a problem.

"Now, you certainly don't have to get anything new today," Eric said reassuringly as he pushed the door open. "If you're more comfortable in your armor you should feel free to keep wearing it. But this isn't your old school, and the armor's not a requirement here. Also, the weather can get pretty warm in the summers, so it might be worth trying out something a little- lighter." Of course, he wasn't quite sure if the traveling to other worlds would have much of an effect on the weather on the island itself, but he wasn't going to say that out loud.
