There was no bouncer at the entrance to the Community Center, all the better for any underclassmen to sneak into the night's festivities and pray that their own official final dance in Fandom would be half so...red. To be technical, the shade was rust.

Thankfully to the more practical among the StuCo Prom Committee, the Mars theme lended itself to plenty of starry twinkle lights and a decadant foggy mist rising from the dance floor that might just help the chaperones in their quest to look the other way when students got too handsy. That was really all that mattered at an event like this. Well, other than the food on hand and the ability for the punch to merge well with whatever spirits were 'accidentally' dropped into over the course of the evening.

For this was a night to be remembered! Even if all that stuck in the memories of the students was the terrifying spacemen floating around the giant papier mache Mars that dangled in place of a disco ball over the dance floor. Or perhaps it would be the fantastic flavor of the fiery fountain of cherry pie filling. Fake fire, of course, but the filling? Totally real and delicious. Even if it looked a little too much like fiery blood for some people.

Welcome to your 2012 Fandom High Senior Prom!

Jake hadn't really meant to start counting the months, but Caroline's insistence to take it one milestone at a time had made him all too conscious of every milestone that ticked by. They were at nine months now and while that hardly warranted a huge celebration, he didn't want to just sit in her room the whole day either. He wanted to do something normal and Monday's class had stuck in his head.

Which meant that Jake was dragging Caroline through the rain and into town to eat ice cream. Never mind that this wasn't a warm summer holiday and they weren't in Venice. (Or had that been Florence? Um, some Italian city.)

"I think we should get a sample of all the flavours they've got," he announced once he closed the door behind him, shutting out the rain and wind.

During the afternoon, workers had built up a large firepit in the center of the park. Smaller ones were built a short distance away from it, just to make sure nobody froze during the festivities.

There was ice on the pond, thick ice, and someone had set up a small booth alongside it renting out skates for the night. Closer to the bonfire, there was a buffet, partly already cooked (and with cocoa, too!), partly set up with raw meat, fish, marshmallows and vegetables for the more enterprising crowd who might want to roast something over one of the fires.

Lights hung in the trees, and the fires blared merrily. Fandom was ready for the changing of the years, and all were welcome.

So thanks to the combined efforts of Student Council members and non-members alike, a Thanksgiving dinner had been put together in the Community Center. There were pies, there were casseroles, there were other moddable edible things, and then there were the rolls made out of pie crust.

Thank you, Karla.

Come in and enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner where your friends and relatives wouldn't disappear on you! Probably!

As promised, the area of the park near the pond had been taken over in the name of Miley coming of legal age. Okay, so she still couldn't do much unless she was secretly Canadian, but Caroline was ignoring that part.

Hopefully the flamingos didn't mind the heaters that had been brought in to keep the party-goers comfortable as they moved among the scattered hay bales draped in quilts and blankets that would pass for seating. If so, the flamingos might just get a little bold and head for the variety of country-inspired cold weather snacks and drinks covering the tables set up between the bonfire and the cleared dancing area. Just no one ask where the music was coming from unless they wanted to hear about how cordless speakers worked like it was magic. Geeky magic.

[Up early for SP as you do. Everyone's welcome to celebrate!]
[identity profile] puppywithatutu.livejournal.com
Glitter encrusted moosen stood guard in the entry to the transformed Town Hall, reminding all those in attendance that the night was about all things Canadian. Or things the Student Council had deemed Canadian - plus a whole lot of glitter.

Sparkly red maple leaves and paper geese hung from irridescent streamers, setting off the food tables as very much separate from the raised dance floor in case the terrifying papier-mâché beaver didn't make it obvious that the timbits were for eating. Or for dunking in the maple syrup fountain. Beyond pure sugar, there were plenty of bite-size portioned food and nonalcoholic beverages to push the theme into the bellies of all, no matter how tight the dresses!

Beyond the dance floor, the shadowy corners glowed with the twinkle of glittery maple leaf garland and a Joni Mitchell inspired moose that had been strategically positioned to look rather tragic in its lyric-covered glory. Yes, glory. For the evening was to be glorious. Or at the very least entertaining.

Welcome to your 2011 Homecoming Dance!

It had taken some time, but everything was set. The community center had been tatefully decorated and looked nice and welcoming, the stage was set, all the technical kinks had been worked out, there were refreshments set out for after the show, and things were finally ready. Now all that was needed were the guests and the talent.

Come one, come all! Grab a seat, and check out all the talent Fandom has to offer!

It was Saturday night and time to grab your best gal for one heck of a dance. Or your best guy. Maybe your best sentient robot. Look, Fandom didn't judge your lifestyle choices.

The community center was decorated with the requisite streamers and glittery things to make it look like a disco threw up all over the 50's. But it was hardly a dance without unfortunate glitter, right? Right!

So, throw on a poodle skirt (or leather jacket) and get ready for a good time! And remember, this dance is open to all!

Ramona didn't do it often, but girl knew how to throw a party. Granted, at the age of seventeen, she hadn't been to a ton of college parties, but she'd been to enough to emulate them effectively.

She'd gotten to the beach early enough to set up a couple beer pong tables, along with one for flip cup. There were several kegs of (really, really cheap -- might as well go for the full college draw here) beer, and nearby those, she'd placed an assortment of liquors and mixers. There was no bartender or anything for this party -- not only to fit with the theme, but also because Ramona was cheap and practical. See also the traditional red party cups she'd gotten for their drinks!

There were, however, tiki torches and a bonfire, and she'd sprung for festive little umbrellas to go in the drinks. Ramona hadn't really wanted to go totally tropical for this thing, but she'd dressed relatively beachy for her -- she was wearing a sundress, at least, over her swimsuit, and she had a little white flower in her blue hair.

She was determined to make sure Kate didn't miss any of that vital college experience. Because clearly, this was the important stuff.

[up early for sp and to accommodate time zones since SOME people live in like the north pole or whatever! all students (except topher) are welcome!]

Chuck was doing an excellent job blocking out the chittering of annoying teenage girls. Basically it took a lot of scotch and knowing that if things got too annoying he could go back into the office and lock the door. But for now he was sitting behind the bar, watching what was going on out of the corner of his eye and smacking Tino with his cane if he refused to do something Caroline or her redneck-voiced little friend asked him to do.

Tino looked miserable. That made the party worth it already.
[identity profile] need-no-moon.livejournal.com
Jake shivered as he made it inside the door and water trickled past his collar and down his spine. Not that he was going to complain about the temperature or the rain, he probably just should have grabbed a jacket with a hood. At least he had gotten there before Caroline, so maybe his hair wouldn't be all plastered to his head by the time she joined him.

He took a moment to check out the games they had before he found himself a table as he waited for Caroline to show up.

[Fast Eddie's open. Jake's here for his date, but he's totes pokeable before she gets there.]

Although the weekend was almost over, the esteemed alumni of Fandom High were not getting away without one last get-together. The park had been deemed too cold for the event, so the community center had been set up again with tasteful blue and yellow streamers and real flowers on the tables, although there might have been a few paper flowers still lying around from last night too.

There was plenty of food just waiting to be eaten, and if someone asked nicely, they might be able to acquire a drink or two as well. It was five o'clock somewhere.
[identity profile] mouthy-merc.livejournal.com
If anyone could recall the dance from the night before, they would have thought that it was decorated tastefully compared to what was going on tonight. There were streamers, balloons and what appeared to be paper flower ornaments everywhere. All done in yellow and blue for the proud graduates of Fandom High, of course.

And there were the 'classic' songs from twenty years ago blaring loudly for people to dance or cringe to. Who knew Ke$ha and Justin Bieber would get to be classic pop music for future generations?

Just be glad there is an open bar.

No, Edmund wasn't in the wrong place and neither was this post; there was an incredibly direct note taped to the classroom door pointing his Dealing With Idiots students this way.

He also wasn't wearing one of the lovely purple uniform shirts stacked on the table beside him, and as for the hats... well. You couldn't pay him to put one of those on.

Just in case that wasn't obvious, he opened with a subtle allusion to that very fact: "You couldn't pay me to put one of those hats on." See? Subtle. "If you've any sense at all, the same is true for you."

Blackadder smiled somewhat evilly. Well.... not evilly, not really. Just bastardly. Evil took more effort than he cared to expend. "Luckily for us all, I'm not paying you; I'm just ordering you. Welcome to the Real World, and I don't mean that programme where they shove a bunch of spoiled twenty-somethings into a flat for six weeks and interview them on the commode about the previous week's adventures in fornication. I'm talking about the service industry. Today, half of you will be wearing the pointier and less dangly bits of a cow on your heads, while the other half try as hard as possible to make your lives completely miserable while ordering food from you."

All right, maybe he was a little evil. "The place is also open to the public, so you'll have to deal with any real idiots who wander in."

[OOC: Open! Post is for Dealing With Idiots class and anyone else who wants to traipse in and make their lives hell by ordering a Super McDuper McMoobity Meal with no bun, ranch dressing on the side, extra ice in the Diet Coke and a mini-moob meal toy without the mini-moob meal.]

After what was sure to be a busy day of catching up with family and guests, the local community center was lit up and now open for everyone to come enjoy the party. The decorations inside weren't overly garish or weird and long tables dotted with food and drinks lined the walls. Music was playing and a disco ball spun in the middle of the dance floor.

The night was young and the party was about to get into full swing! Come stop by!

G.O.B. Bluth Presents:
The Tenth Anniversary Edition of
Three Minute Dates at Caritas

hosted by A Matchmaker Named G.O.B.

Just before 6:00, the lights went dark and a sole zombie walked out onto the stage and sat down at a piano. The zombie then started playing The Final Countdown, followed by the other zombies, all with violins to join in. And then GOB walked out onto the stage, holding and petting a lovebird. He then released the bird, which flew up toward the ceiling before somehow getting stuck in an air duct.

As GOB went into his spiel about how 3MD was a Fandom institution that he started and how he had brought so much love to Fandom with it and that the tenth annual (he still hadn't figured that part out) edition demanded the respect that a piano and not doing magic ("Unless any of the legal ladies out there want to see me make another lovebird appear," and yes, he was talking about his penis).

Meanwhile, the lovebird was still stuck in the air duct. As air rushed past the bird and into the lounge, some strange pheromones released by the bird were thrown back at the stage, where it reacted with the already strange combination of zombie smell and cologne used to hide the zombie smell on such a classy occasion, somehow generating a powerful love potion that would be making its way into the lounge, affecting people at random for three minutes at a time. Bizarrely, that was exactly how long each of the dates tonight would be.

Sometimes Fandom worked in mysterious ways. Mysteriously sexy ways.

"I call your names, you meet up with each other, talk for three minutes, and then you'll hear the sound of a zombie smashing his hands against a bunch of piano keys. Go ahead and do it," GOB said. The zombie started smashing the keys randomly. One of the other zombies joined in because a band was all about teamwork. "And that's how we start!"

[The Bar Before the Dates | Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3 | Round 4 | Round 5 | OOC]
[Regular post-dates Caritas post]

[OOC: Lots of OCD coming IS UP. RANDOMLY ASSIGNED LOVE POTION IS MARKED IN THREAD TITLES WITH ONE OF THESE "*" AFTER THE AFFECTED PERSON'S NAME! For example: "Nick* / 3MD Participants" means that I will spend the next three minutes loving everyone who signed up. But not in a dirty way because that would be exhausting and I have a sister among the participants and eww.

Remember that you can also choose to be affected by love potion in any round(s) at your discretion. Also, the love potion can only affect people in the lounge during the dates. People at the bar and on the stage will not be affected. People who are affected will just be incredibly drawn to their date, flirt harder, maybe go for some physical contact more quickly, but they shouldn't necessarily go straight for making out. Unless you choose to have them go for it. The upper limit is player's choice.

As I'm going along, if I made an obvious mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix. And remember, attacks on your dates will get you teleported elsewhere on the island.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish a thread or two on Sunday, that's fine.

GO FORTH AND PLAY!]

It was getting cold, but the chill was bracing, truly, nothing more than that, and so, armed with a coffee, Rosalind could be found wandering the park that morning, looking contemplative.

Leaning against a bench that overlooked the duck pond--yes, she could sit down, but Rosalind didn't feel like it at the moment--she idly wondered what Elena was doing right now. Which Elena?

Well, both of them. And how things were going back home--the reports she got were hardly the same thing as being there, after all, and Rosalind itched with the urge to know more. Or musing on what radio considered being 'sassy' at Reno.

For now, though, there were no answers all she could do was push away from the bench, sip her coffee and continue her walk through the park.

That was soothing, in a way. She did like nature. Even the quiet and sleeping sort there was to be had this time of the year.

Jonothon was dismayed to find that he was having a hell of a time sleeping in, this morning. That probably had something to do with the tiny kitten, who had made it her personal mission to curl up on his face.

And it wasn't as though she was actually smothering him, really. After all, he didn't breathe. But when tiny kittens got comfortable, there was this kneading thing that they did with their tiny claws...

Jonothon was taking Joni for a walk. He might as well, anyhow. She needed the fresh air, and he needed to work off some more of that anxiousness that he'd been picking up on before taking the kitten over to meet Raven. With any luck, Joni wouldn't harass the ducks too much while they were passing through the park.

Bloody ducks.

Claudia hadn't originally planned on dressing up, this year, but the realization that there'd be no foster families to tell her she was too old or that Halloween was a capitalist plot (she'd had some odd foster families) had spurred her on.

She'd been originally thinking she'd go as Wendy the Werewolf Stalker, but then she'd found a gorgeous red fox/wolf costume at the store and just had to have it. . . .

Which would be why the park now smelled like a college dorm*, as Claudia the maned wolf stalked about, chasing squirrels and ducks and marking her territory.

Even though it was daytime, the "dolphins in space" theme had been carried over to the brunch. The mural was nowhere to be found, but inside the tent that had been set up to give everyone a shady place to gather, there were silver and blue metallic streamers and balloons hung up, and each of the tables had a blue flower arrangement on it.

There were no fish to be found though, unless you counted what could be on the food table. Honestly, that might not really be fish either.

The Homecoming Carnival was in full swing and decorated according to the theme: blues and greens of all sorts, and little fish decorations everywhere.

Look, it wasn't because they'd gone to the brunch that it meant that they couldn't eat more. They could always eat more, and if Jake was going to have pizza, then Embry and Quil were going with him. Besides, they were kind of curious to meet this Claudia.

"You really didn't have to come, you know," Jake commented, they were standing outside, waiting for Claudia to show up.

"It's no trouble," Quil assured him brightly.

"Yeah, and besides, you're paying so it's all cool," Embry felt the need to point out.

Jake wondered exactly why he liked having them around again.

Yesterday had been a complete surprise for Bod. He hadn't expected Silas and hadn't even been ready for something of that magnitude to happen to him so even a day later, he was still wound up and more than a little energetic.

Bod had plans to meet Silas this morning but the older man wasn't there yet. Bod didn't know where he'd gone after they'd departed but he knew better than to think about it too hard. For the moment, he was sitting alone, drinking something warm and picking at the muffin in front of him.

Silas hadn't told him much about what he and the Honour Guard had been doing since he'd last seen Bod but he hoped that would change today. He wanted to hear about where Silas had gone, if he'd returned to the graveyard and if he'd seen the last of the Jacks eliminated.

It was hard to just sit there when his mind was buzzing with so many different things but he knew Silas would only chide him and give him a very cool, very assessing look if he was found to be out of control. So, he'd stay there for now and wait for his guardian.

[Totally open, yep, if you wanna bother Bod or meet Silas (a little later when I get him into the post) or just wanna use the business for yourself!]

G.O.B. Bluth Presents:
The Ninth Annual
Three Minute Dates @ Caritas

hosted by A Matchmaker Named G.O.B.

GOB had somehow been able to count to nine despite not being around for the previous six Three Minute Dates, but he still didn't know what 'annual' really meant. But that wasn't important. The important thing was that at 6:00 precisely, the ligts went out and the Zombie Band started playing a familiar intro.

A burst of smoke hit the stage and the matchmaker named GOB stepped through it to make his grand entrance. A flick of each wrist and he was holding a deck of cards in each hand: all hearts. Except for a single four of clubs. GOB started moonwalking backwards, except he wasn't very good at it so it was more like walking backward with a limp. He clapped his hands together and from the cards fell burst forth a dead live dove, which GOB picked up and threw off the stage toward the bar swooped over the audience and hit Tino after bouncing off the bar attacked Tino.

"WELCOME TO CARITAS!" GOB yelled to the crowd as the music continued. "WELCOME! TO THREE MINUTE DATES!" He turned around and pointed to the back of the stage where a too-large banner dropped, showing the top half of 'THREE MINUTE DATES' while the rest was still rolled up on the stage floor. "I am GOB, your Once and Future Matchmaker. Here are the rules: I call your name and the name of somebody else. You two get together and make goo goo eyes at each other for a few minutes, and then I make a fireball appear to let you know it's time for the next round."

Tino had checked the fireball launcher GOB kept in his sleeve. Twice. It was as safe as it could possibly be.

"After the roaring sound of magical fire, I'll call out some more names and we do it again until we've done it five times. And if you don't like any of your dates, let me know and we can do it five more times in my hotel room." GOB could be as subtle as a bar on fire, something which Tino really wanted to avoid. Now let's get on with this stuff." As GOB started to reach for his notecards with the round one pairings, a quick burst of flame shot across his chest. "Huh. Shot off a little early. But I won't, ladies." Very subtle.

Ariel had probably gotten to the ice cream shop way early to meet Jacob (and his shirt) for the ice cream they'd talked about on Saturday, and, boy, was she glad she was. There were so many different choices that, one glance, and she knew it was going to be a tough choice. All of it sounded so good. And, apparently, they let you sample them, too.

...at the rate she was going, there was a good chance that she'd be full of ice cream before Jacob even got here.

Well, okay, maybe not. It appeared as though one of Ariel's legs was not only magical, but also hollow.

As the sun started to set, the lights officially came on at the new community center! The building was now complete, its walls gleaming and solid in the waning light. As people began to arrive, they would notice decorations lining the tiled and bright corridors, leading them towards the large auditorium where the dance was being held.

Once inside the auditorium, there were more decorations. Streamers in the colors of summer hung from the rafters and painted the walls. There were fresh flowers in every corner and on every table, bringing fragrance and festiveness to the room. The lights were low in the auditorium, dimmed to provide both mood and setting to this party in the evening.

There were several long tables stocked full with foods of all kinds and there was even a bar with an expert bartender who'd be happy to serve you. Tips were welcome but not mandatory. There was only so much camping, even in cabins (which did make it more bearable), that she could take. Too many people around, too many noises and an absolute lack of true privacy...

Which would be why Rosalind, when she'd felt her temper starting to fall to pieces just by waking up in the cabins, had prudently relocated herself to the Perk and planned to stay there for a good few hours. She did enjoy their coffee and the change in scenery was enough to soothe her mood as she tapped away on her laptop, writing out the past week so that Tseng didn't think she'd died.

Besides, the Perk was a better place to consider a few things that deserved further consideration.

It was still way, way too hot and Jake was overheated. He was definitely build for cold weather, not for warm, and water seemed to hold some reprieve from the heat. Once those thunderstorms came around, he was going to be dancing in them. For now, there was the ocean. Anyone who might have been looking towards Galactica Point at the right moment might have noticed someone jumping off and into the water. (It was crazy, but fun and definitely refreshing.)

Water that was still cool now and Jacob was floating on his back, considering spending the night out here. He wasn't too far from shore now, still able to hear the occasional trooper patrol pass on Apocalypse Avenue.

[So very open.]

Even with clouds in the sky, the weather was warm, and so Firekeeper and Blind Seer took the horses out to the paddock after the morning's chores. Firekeeper sprawled lazily on the grass as Blind Seer took up a game of chase with the horses. The game amused her, in that they'd been playing it almost as long as the wolves had been working with the horses, and still none of them tired of it.

At least there were no strange pieces of luggage today; her own arrivals on Friday had not been plentiful, but they'd been enough to make her brooding and sulky all day Saturday.

[ooc: open, with warning for possible bouts of SP throughout the day.]

Claudia had gone looking for books on viking culture and ended up with a freaking doorstop of Icelandic sagas.

So far, she'd found nothing about inventing one's own peg-leg.

Book Haven was open.

It had been an eventful newbie weekend for Didi, what with Delirium on the island on top of all the usual chaos of overwhelmed people trying to find their way. She was glad she'd made an ice cream date with Jake; if they hadn't planned this, it might have been another few weeks before she remembered to check in with him.

She bounced a bit on her toes as she waited, considering her options. She wondered if Del had been in yet to ask about green telephone ice cream. If she hadn't, she might suggest her sister try mango sorbet with chocolate sauce. That sounded pretty good to her anyhow...

[OOC: Didi's here for Jacob, but it is an open ice cream shop!]

Rosalind's very specific headache had not gone anywhere after listening to radio.

Or after she'd spent three hours attempting to outline the beginnings of a draft for her first report to Tseng. (Actually, that had made it worse. She'd spent the time trying to think of a way to phrase 'my little sister is a) older than I am, b) crazy, and c) a Turk' without sounding like she should be locked away for her own safety.)

Another hour was spent slowly and carefully stretching out and seeing how she felt. Tired still; yesterday had taken a toll on her. Rosalind considered that for all of half a minute before forcing herself up off the floor and, with a quick check to make sure she looked tidy and was fully suited up, she left the room.

Then left the dorms. Rosalind was well aware that going particularly far or fast would be an abysmal idea. The doctors had been quite firm on that. (They would also have told her to keep her behind in a chair for another day but Rosalind was ignoring that much.) She was a Turk, she had to know the island.

Being a Turk had precious little to do with her fascination with the park when she came upon it, however, and her footsteps slowed further as she explored it, making sure to stick to the paths, and quietly drinking in the green.

[Ooopen as an open place is!]

It was the Monday after graduation, and Arthur's nerves were hitting an all-time high.

Not that he'd admit it.

They were packed and ready: Arthur had his dog and his horses, Merlin had his owl. Several bags strapped to each of the horses, enough food for the trip home, if they wound up anywhere near where he and Merlin had gotten thrown off course the first time around.

Arthur didn't give the castle as much as a passing glance. But he had put out a few messages to anyone who might care to see him leave, and advised Morgana and Merlin to do the same.

Today, they would try to go home -- and dammit, they would succeed. He couldn't think anything less if he was going to take this path.

[[ open. not, in fact, the last post of the camelot kids in fandom, but probably a, if not the last chance to make your goodbyes to the lot all in one place. so have at! ]]

There was a bull-size wolf moving through town. The fact that some people might end up thinking he was a monster had occurred to Jacob, but his sense of self preservation was very much skewed. Besides, how many monsters did you know that walked around with a cut off pair of jeans attached to his hind leg by a gas mask. Luckily there was no droid baby, Sedna had been dumped with Morgana which seemed better for everyone involved. Except perhaps Morgana.

It left Jacob free to wander the island, trying to pick up a scent of the wolves that had taken the principal. He couldn't help wondering if the one he'd met on Thursday had anything to do with it. He didn't want to believe it, she'd been... He didn't know what it had been, but he'd been comfortable with her almost as if she'd been one of his pack despite all the differences.

The fog was still thick and while Jake's bulk gave him at least some time before he started hallucinating, he wasn't immune. It forced him to retreat regularly when the vampire scents became more poignant and he could see things moving that weren't really there. He'd find a spot, turn back and breath through the gas mask until he was certain his head was clear enough. Then he'd be back out, looking for real monsters and the wolves. Because somehow that was personal.

[Open for monster encounters and/or running into Jake.]

As Desperation Day dances went, this was probably not the most tacky ever.  Of course given that it was Desperation Day, so tacky really went with the territory.

There was glitter, oh, was there ever glitter in a multitude of sparkly colours.  But even more so, it seemed that the decorators had taken the 'Hearts Afire' theme literally as large cut out hearts adorned the walls.  Each with a tissue paper 'flame' bursting from the top of it.  Streamers in all shades of pink twisted across the ceiling, forming almost a canopy.  Which hopefully would not be literally set afire.  The Fire Department would probably disapprove of that. Also a lot of people's dresses would be ruined.

Let's stay away from any literal fire, okay, guys?

[Up early for timezones.  Wait for the OCD or I will STAB YOU, OKAY? is up! And thre'll be a second post up later if this one gets insanely large (well, hell, why even say 'if')]

There was a boy fidgeting with his button up shirt right in front of Pizza Planet. It kept him from worrying if maybe he should have gone with the Outback Steakhouse. The Mexican sounded cool too, but he didn't know if Morgana liked spicey and if there was one food that represented this time, it should be pizza. Even if steak was yummy and filling.

He moved on to making sure his hair wasn't sticking in all directions a moment later when the fidgeting reminded him that he really should have brought some more fancy clothes. Not that the black shirt on the jeans didn't work, but this was the most fancy he'd got and maybe he should have gone to do some clothes shopping. Ugh, he hated clothes shopping.

And hopefully Morgana wouldn't be much longer, or he'd start wondering if he should have gotten his hair cut. (Not that there was much to cut.)

[For the date, obviously, but Pizza Planet is always open for your pizza needs. OMG, I'm hungry.]

It was a new day and there was no better way to start a new day than with the continuation of the carnival. There was still snow coating the ground but the atmosphere was as lively as ever. With cream-colored decorations and twinkling lights, the Student Council had aimed for a winter wonderland kind of theme, and the snow simply added to the effect. Thankfully, the day was turning out to be warmer, so those who were going to be outside all day wouldn't freeze. Once the finishing touches were done, the carnival was open for business.

During the night, Fandom had been covered in a blanket of fresh snow that was just thick enough to turn everything crisp and white. The horses had insisted they wanted to go outside today. And so Firekeeper had obligingly let them out to roam after the morning's chores were done.

Not five minutes after they'd been let out did Kally come over to the fence post Firekeeper was sitting on and inform her that actually, they wanted to go back inside.

So Firekeeper, Blind Seer, and the horses could be found inside the barn today if you had need of them.

So Elena had planned on taking Jacob out drinking, to celebrate his first week of intact-sanity in Fandom, but he'd suddenly changed his mind once they got near Caritas. Maybe it had bad mojo or something.

Ching Tai seemed like a good back-up.

"Well, there goes my clever plan to get you drunk and take advantage of you," she teased, as they were seated.

(werewolf modded with permission. expecting him, but it's open for all your Ching Tai needs!)
