Caritas | Saturday Evening
Chuck was doing an excellent job blocking out the chittering of annoying teenage girls. Basically it took a lot of scotch and knowing that if things got too annoying he could go back into the office and lock the door. But for now he was sitting behind the bar, watching what was going on out of the corner of his eye and smacking Tino with his cane if he refused to do something Caroline or her redneck-voiced little friend asked him to do.
Tino looked miserable. That made the party worth it already.

And order Tino around. That was so totally worth whatever smell the zombies were giving off. Nevermind she'd sprayed them down with Febreeze first thing, that stuff never seemed to last like the bottle said it would.
At least she looked hot and summery in her yellow dress, far from weather-appropriate, but screw that. Beauty was totally worth a little pain.
Re: Lounge
"Looking good so far, right?" she asked. "Bartender seems kinda grouchy, but other than that..."

For now? She had a Shirley Temple. Childish, but delicious.

His black jeans and blue button-down shirt were only not weather appropriate because he'd failed to bring a coat.
Re: Lounge
"I hope you weren't trying to hide from me," she remarked, sliding into the booth beside him. "If so, you might invest in like, a trench coat and hat to blend a little better with the shadows."

... Okay, at this very moment it was more like zombie watching. He couldn't help it, those guys were freaky.

She ordered a soda and found a seat where she could watch the crowd.

"Hey! I'm glad you made it, you look so cute! I'm so totally refusing to admit it's cold outside because it's freaking July, but I might try to steal your sweater if a blizzard starts." Caroline winked, totally messing with her.

She was quoting her dad there. Shh.

She eyed the Shirley Temple. "My grandma used to make those for me. What's even in them?"

He'd already grabbed a drink when he made it back to the lounge and flopped down in an empty seat, feet up and drink already being brought up to his lips.
Re: Lounge
"Planning a great performance tonight?" she asked, taking a seat beside him.
