The Beach: Ramona and Kate's I'm-Not-Going-To-College College Party [Thursday evening]

Ramona didn't do it often, but girl knew how to throw a party. Granted, at the age of seventeen, she hadn't been to a ton of college parties, but she'd been to enough to emulate them effectively.

She'd gotten to the beach early enough to set up a couple beer pong tables, along with one for flip cup. There were several kegs of (really, really cheap -- might as well go for the full college draw here) beer, and nearby those, she'd placed an assortment of liquors and mixers. There was no bartender or anything for this party -- not only to fit with the theme, but also because Ramona was cheap and practical. See also the traditional red party cups she'd gotten for their drinks!

There were, however, tiki torches and a bonfire, and she'd sprung for festive little umbrellas to go in the drinks. Ramona hadn't really wanted to go totally tropical for this thing, but she'd dressed relatively beachy for her -- she was wearing a sundress, at least, over her swimsuit, and she had a little white flower in her blue hair.

She was determined to make sure Kate didn't miss any of that vital college experience. Because clearly, this was the important stuff.

Of course Ramona was there to mingle. It was her party, duh. But even if that was the case, she did sort of linger to the side, watching people to make sure that no one unwelcome had snuck in (there was only one of those, anyway) and that no one was so inebriated as to fall into the fire or anything.

That'd probably be bad.

Kate was here too, obviously, wearing a blue dress over her bikini, with a red cup of beer in hand, and looking mighty pleased.

Well, it was a party that had something to do with her, but she hadn't had to organize it herself. What was there not to like?

Bobby had no idea he was banned from this party, and anyway, the person who'd imposed the ban was currently a pony, so whatever. He was totally here.

Puck, in a rare enough moment, actually still had his shirt on. It was mostly due to the fact that he had a patch of gray skin on the left side of his chest, but that wasn't stopping him from circulating the party, his sleeves rolled up.

He had to show off something.

Simon had shown up, yes. But he was sticking to the edges, keeping mostly to himself and just observing.

He was still feeling a little antsy over last weekend, and had spent most of the week recuperating from his lack of sleep over that time.

Miley had hesitated when she got the email because, well, she didn't do the whole crazy-drinking-party thing. But after a few encouraging texts from Lilly, she'd decided it couldn't hurt to show up for a bit, so long as she brought her water bottle and stuck to her guns about Just Saying No.

Plus, she was still a little energized from yesterday's flirty day with Jeremy, not to mention eager to show off the new dress (http://www.djpremium.com/shop/P1061410/minkpink/mickeys-ms-dress.html?cm_mmc=Performics&utm_source=Affiliate&utm_medium=GAN&utm_term=Primary%20%28j12199141k147466%29&utm_content=&utm_campaign=Polyvore%20%28k147466%29) she'd bought in Paris the day before, so how could she pass up a social opportunity?

Was there any doubt that Bod would be here? Of course not. He wasn't wearing a swimsuit, deciding to stick to trousers and a button up shirt to keep him comfortable.

He'd picked up a drink (non-alcoholic for the moment) and was now digging his toes into the sand and enjoying that sensation. The smallest things could get his attention easily sometimes.

Percy hadn't ever met Ramona and he and Kate tended to argue with each other but he'd come out anyway because he loved the beach and the water and any chance to be close to it was one he'd take.

This came at a good time because he knew Luke had gone off somewhere and despite himself, Percy was worried. He hated that Luke could still make him do that.

Quinn wasn't planning on drinking much -- that never ended well for her -- but hey, it was a party, she liked Kate, and it wasn't like she had better plans. She put on a sundress (with ballet flats, since she still had that unfortunate claw problem) and took herself to the beach.

Cassel didn't know any of the two people involved in this party but it was a party and he was bored so he had showed up. He had one of the stereotypical red cups in his hand and settled in for a night of people watching.

No, Kate did not know the other Kate. But she was a Kate, with no plans to go to college... So there was that.

Parties, though, weren't something she was that good at. A lack of experience and and an ingrained habit of avoiding people made a bad combination, but she was here, unarmed (if still not really dressed up for the occasion), and trying. Which was rare.

Jack was staying far away from the booze today. After last night he was still feeling the effect of those tequila shots and also felt fairly stupid with how he treated Bruce.

Truth be told he probably wouldn't have come but the party was for Kate and anyone who greeted him to Fandom with chocolate was worth suffering through the hangover at the party.

Mercy didn't actually know Ramona or Kate, but hey, might as well get out and meet more people, right? So here she was, swimsuit under her clothes, just in case, and hoping it would be a positive experience.

Sam didn't know Kate but he did know Ramona. He had little else to do tonight so he'd spent some time skateboarding up and down the boardwalk before making his way onto the beach.

Now, he was sitting on his skateboard (which he'd settled on the sand) and was drinking some plain orange juice. Yeah, he was kinda boring but alcohol wasn't really his thing. It tasted gross.

Jason didn't know much of anything about what college parties were supposed to be like, but Ramona's e-mail had made whatever she had planned sound like fun, so he'd ventured out to the beach and was taking a look around. It beat sitting in his room trying to write letters to Bruce.

Sure Ramona had probably meant to exclude Caroline from this whole thing consider what Caroline's amazing ears had overheard a few weeks back, but that didn't stop her from putting on a sadly under-used bikini (http://www.swimwearexpress.com/images/products/LX73-LX24.jpg) and insisting that this was a good way to spend the evening.

Marshall wasn't sure how many of his fellow student's he'd actually know at the party -- he'd kinda failed at being social -- and also he was still a little self-conscious about the not-so-easily-hidden claws he still had on the last three fingers of his right hand.

But, hey, party! Maybe he'd even drink alcohol.

Toby didn't really know Ramona or Kate, but he wasn't letting that stop him from showing up to the party. Though the refreshments seemed to be more alcohol-focused, there was still free food, and he wasn't about to pass that up.

Neither, apparently, was Stan-the-puppy, who was currently making off with a hot dog.

Nathan hadn't had a lot to drink but after the show he'd just gotten, he didn't fucking need it, man. He still had a beer in his hand though but now he was scrolling through some pictures he'd just taken.

Yeah, these would work niiiiicely for things that happened.

After a day spent setting up a generator and lights in a cave - shhh, don't tell - Bruce was ready to pretend to be social at a party. He took the time to shower and change after his time in the cave, of course, so he was nice and clean, too.

There's a couple of platters of food, though not anything too extensive (though Ramona had the presence of mind to get marshmallows and hot dogs for the fire), and tons of cheap beer and decent liquor -- as well as mixers, for you non-drinkers. Grab a drink or a snack!

Jeremy had had a pretty fun, flirty day of rides in Disneyland with Miley yesterday, and today there was a party, so he was a pretty happy guy.

Dressed casually, if not really for swimming, he hovered around the snack table, with a mug in hand.

For where would a party be without music? Ramona had set up some speakers around the beach area they'd be inhabiting, and there was plenty of space to dance near the bonfire!
