Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Brunch, Community Center, Sunday Morning

Although the weekend was almost over, the esteemed alumni of Fandom High were not getting away without one last get-together. The park had been deemed too cold for the event, so the community center had been set up again with tasteful blue and yellow streamers and real flowers on the tables, although there might have been a few paper flowers still lying around from last night too.

There was plenty of food just waiting to be eaten, and if someone asked nicely, they might be able to acquire a drink or two as well. It was five o'clock somewhere.

There were still nametags around, if people wanted to use them. Old age makes the memory go, after all.

Dolf had grabbed a name tag and stuck it on his coat, thank you very much. Of course, it had taken him a while to get to the brunch, because being back on Fandom meant having the chance to poke around. A lot.

But now he was there, and looking in good spirits.

Jack was willing to wear a nametag, since they seemed to make everyone's life easier. He fastened it to his lapel and wandered through the mingling area, eyes out for anyone he wanted to say hello to.

Percy didn't want to do nametags two nights in a row so he bypassed those and set about to fiddling around with his phone and glancing up every so often to see if he recognized anyone.

Juliet was concealing her massive hangover from the night before with sunglasses (yes, inside) and whimpering.

It might not have been the most effective disguise ever. She ignored the nametags and went straight for the coffee.

Jo stretched as she picked up a name-tag and attached it to her jacket. She'd say she was getting too damn old to sleep in the truck so much, but then Mom'd start making noises about her giving up hunting again.

Savannah hadn't done a lot of mingling the day before, mostly because she spent the day with her brother and sister-in law.

However, she figured that she could at least come out and look for any of her friends that might have come up.

Even if certain things were still too painful to deal with when she looked around specific places.

Priestly walked right past the name tags, this time. He was pretty focussed on his mission of getting some food, coffee, and maybe just a touch of booze to start out his morning.

River didn't bother with the nametag. If people didn't know who she was -- and she was able to read their minds -- she could introduce herself.

Leia had somehow remained oblivious the previous day that anything was weird in the island due to being wrapped up in reports from back home about things like the Empire's latest movements (and the propaganda they were releasing about the Death Star's destruction) and the search for a new base for the Rebellion. But she decided to take a break and go to the brunch.

Wait -- 20 year reunion?

Kerrigan didn't have a name tag this time; she didn't feel she needed one.

Instead, she towered above most of the people there, spine-like dreadlocks swishing idly along with her every movement.

Jason still felt strange about being here, but he was in a much better mood than he'd been last night. He skipped the nametag this time, and just started walking around, keeping an eye out for any vaguely familiar faces.

Look, the nametags had been fine yesterday, but today there was no way Rose was sticking a sticker on her clothes. People would just have to cope.

She'd been enjoying the weekend though, and almost almost forgave Lissa for insisting she go.

Kate didn't mind the nametags. There were still people she hadn't talked to, and the tags were helpful on the off chance she didn't recognize someone important.

She affixed one onto her jacket before turning to look who all was there.

Angela was perfectly okay with nametags. She had her name stitched onto her lab coat every day, and this was hardly any different.

Any drinking she'd done last night didn't seem to have taken much of an effect, and she was looking decidedly cheerful in her mingling.

Momoko had been sorely tempted to skip the brunch and go have a leisurely meal at the Cafe Fina, but there were still people she had to catch up with. So, here she was with a name tag being fixed to her collar and a slight headache from last night's wine egging her towards the food tables.

Francine took a nametag again today; yesterday had done nothing but bring home how very unrecognizable the woman she was now would be to anyone who'd known the she was in Fandom. Including herself.

So why was she halfway to the food tables before she realized she'd only written down one last name, and it wasn't her husband's?

Stephanie didn't forego the nametag this time, and even put a smiley face next to Stephanie Brown (in purple ink, of course) on it before she plastered it to her shirt.

With the old habit of someone who'd spent too many years in the vigilante business, she kept an observant eye out as she circulated through the crowd.

There were all kinds of moddable breakfast foods available, and plenty of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, since some people might want to remember this time later.

Ender wouldn't have gone near the alcoholic drinks if you paid him, so he was safely over in a corner of the room, sipping a glass of orange juice. The remains of a sandwich laid on his plate, and he seemed lost in thought.

Or possibly in discussion with a nosy AI. It was hard to tell.

Nathan didn't even know why he was still on the stupid island besides the fact that he had a splitting headache that just wouldn't let him walk too far without having to stop.

And it also meant he could find something cold to drink and stick it right on his eye while he jerked his hood up and tried to be inconspicuous or something.

Sure, he'd picked up on the fact that something weird was going on but that didn't make what he'd seen or heard suck any less. He just wasn't holding such a grudge anymore. His eye and head hurt too much for that.
