Valentine's Day Dance | Town Hall | Saturday Evening [8pm on]

As Desperation Day dances went, this was probably not the most tacky ever.  Of course given that it was Desperation Day, so tacky really went with the territory.

There was glitter, oh, was there ever glitter in a multitude of sparkly colours.  But even more so, it seemed that the decorators had taken the 'Hearts Afire' theme literally as large cut out hearts adorned the walls.  Each with a tissue paper 'flame' bursting from the top of it.  Streamers in all shades of pink twisted across the ceiling, forming almost a canopy.  Which hopefully would not be literally set afire.  The Fire Department would probably disapprove of that. Also a lot of people's dresses would be ruined.

Let's stay away from any literal fire, okay, guys?

Listen, it'd be weird if he didn't show up to a party with Merlin at his side. It was just how this worked.

One of these days, someone was going to have to introduce Firekeeper to the concept of having more than one dress. Because as far as she was concerned, the one was enough. She'd even gone so far as to wear shoes with it- a pair of silk slippers in Kestrel blue. Those... were probably coming off in about fifteen minutes, tops. the slippers, not the dress. comm post omg

To her own quiet amusement, she wasn't that uncomfortable with arriving at the dance. It helped, truly, that she had been to quite a few by now but everyone was still...

Part of being Bruce Wayne meant that he had plenty of nice suits, just in case. Not as many as he would have in the future (not only was he still growing, but he was also still getting more muscle from his training, so he couldn't really justify too many), but more than your typical teenage boy should have.

And he was wearing one right now despite the lack of icons.

He also had a redhead on his arm. "Nothing bad usually happens at these dances, right?"

Didi had a new dress and a handsome date, which was enough to put her into an awesome mood for the dance. (Of course, she was sort of always in an awesome mood.) She grinned at the decorations.

So hopefully this wasn't going to be as stupid as the last dance he showed up for... for five minutes. Jacob had dressed up somewhat. A simple black button up shirt on black pants. Look, black (http://taylorlautnerphotos.com/albums/Photoshoots/GQ/08.jpg) just looked good on him so why not?

Tara's dress was a bit more of an attention-getter than her usual style, but it seemed like something Kennedy would like and it was easy to move in. She clutched her purse and peered around the decorated hall, looking delighted.

The decorations immediately assaulted his eyes and he found himself staring at everything before moving further into town hall.

If there was one thing Morgana had learned about this holiday, it was that Valentine's Day meant red and pink everywhere.

Beka had brought two dates with her. She'd not planned on it, but it seemed sad making Emma stay alone in their room. So Beka had tied a nice blue ribbon around ermine!Emma's neck. She'd gotten bitten for her pains and Pounce had been rolling around the floor in laughter until she'd threatened to do the same for him. Which'd be why he'd not shown up for the dance himself.

At least it also meant she'd been able to wear the same dress (http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=341496&CategoryID=22120) as last time.

And her other date at least did not need to be carried around.

This might be a Valentine's day dance, but Effy was letting that affect her fashion choice (http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/6729/22934306.jpg) (which yes, was short, as requested by a certain someone) for the evening, or what she thought of the whole holiday. Not her thing and probably never would be.

Didn't think it was going to be a bad evening, though. Just because she hadn't arrived with anyone, didn't mean she didn't have her plans already, after all.

Leda arrived alone, but ready to have fun anyway. She'd had a lot of fun putting her outfit (http://whiteblankpage.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/cess_keira_knightley_james_mcavoy_01_v.jpg) together. She'd also touched up the color in her hair, one half of her hair was dyed white, the other purple.

There was a certain amount of nostalgia attached to dances now it was coming towards the end of her time here. Not a thought that was going to touch her mood tonight, given the holiday.

Arthur had assembled some worthy food. He was now also eying the punch, and making the difficult judgement between what was technically morally correct and what promises he may or may not have done to Reno in regards to the alcohol content of the punch.
