Valentine's Day Dance | Town Hall | Saturday Evening [8pm on]

As Desperation Day dances went, this was probably not the most tacky ever.  Of course given that it was Desperation Day, so tacky really went with the territory.

There was glitter, oh, was there ever glitter in a multitude of sparkly colours.  But even more so, it seemed that the decorators had taken the 'Hearts Afire' theme literally as large cut out hearts adorned the walls.  Each with a tissue paper 'flame' bursting from the top of it.  Streamers in all shades of pink twisted across the ceiling, forming almost a canopy.  Which hopefully would not be literally set afire.  The Fire Department would probably disapprove of that. Also a lot of people's dresses would be ruined.

Let's stay away from any literal fire, okay, guys?

[Up early for timezones.  Wait for the OCD or I will STAB YOU, OKAY? is up! And thre'll be a second post up later if this one gets insanely large (well, hell, why even say 'if')]

"You're far too kind," Morgana said. "Yes, I know how to dance. Was that a request?"

He laughed and there was no way he could turn her down in that dress. Or you know, just turn her down. "It is if you won't break my heart by saying no," he teased.

"I wouldn't dare break your heart. Hearts are very important," Morgana said, feigning solemnity. "And I happen to like your heart quite a bit. It's what makes you such a nice person."

He cracked a smile at her and that was kind of corny and sweet at once. Mostly corny. "Keep that up and I'm going to be blushing," he chuckled and held out his arm. "Would you allow me to escort you?"

Morgana ignored the little fluttery feeling in her stomach, and slipped her arm around Jacob's. "I would be honored," she said.

"How am I doing at the gentleman thing? Cause I have no idea how it's supposed to be done," he asked her lightly as he led her to some spot. He actually had no idea where she wanted to go.

"You're doing very well," she said, looking quite content with where they'd ended up. "I'm not testing you on how much of a gentleman you are though, so you should feel free to relax."

Jacob smirked a little at that and he was going to stay close. Just in case she was feeling chilly or something. "No? Then what are you testing me on?"

"Do I have to test you on something? Can I not already be pleased with what I've found?" Morgana asked, moving closer as well. Her dress was a little thin, after all.

Her dress was just fine. More than fine, but he wouldn't want her to be cold. "I don't know, you've got to make me work for it," he chuckled and now he was wondering if they should have moved to the dancefloor. It'd give him more of an excuse to touch her.

"Perhaps I should test you on your dancing skills?" Morgana suggested. "Or would that be too much work?"

"No, but I don't exactly excel on it either," he admitted. He hadn't exactly danced since he'd gone through his growth spurt. "You might have to be patient with me."

"I can be patient," Morgana said, moving closer still as if to point out that hello, dancing would mean close and really, she could put up with just about anything for that.

She made a very good point there judging by the way his breath and his hand moved to her back. "Then I'd love to," he agreed all too easily as he guided her to the dance floor (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/4843318.html?thread=195910710#t195910710).
