Okay. So. She'd apparently somehow ended up taking over some other Summer's place in the multiverse for the weekend, and, god, she hoped it really was just a weekend because she missed her regular life where none of this weird other-dimension stuff happened except for tge rare occasional Loser Summer trying to take over her awesome existence.

Fine. It was fine. She just hopefully had to ride it put. In the meantime, she had to admit, this Summee didn't seem to have it all that bad. Cool apartment. Adorable cat. Some spending money...

And the coffee shop was pretty good, too, even if it wasn't a Starbucks. Because it wasn't a Starbucks? Whatever. Either way, she got something that was extremely froofy with just a hint of actual coffee flavor to UT and set up shop in a comfy chair, where she was also just texting Christina back home about this hopefully being over soon.

How she could still text her girlfriend from another dimension was not anything she cared to ever think about or figure out, thank you. This was more than enough sci-fi bullshit for this Summer Smith, and then some.

[[ I might disappear randomly due to *gestures*, but this post is most certainly open for all your coffee shop needs! ]]

The rainbow in the sky over the island for Pride was tradition, any and all weather logic be damned, and it seemed to be especially -- almost defiantly -- bright this year.

And the festival's organizer wouldn't have it any other way.

The park was all decked out in rainbows, glitter, and miniature Pride flags of different varieties. The bounce house and ballpit slide were back again to serve as the centerpiece this year, as were the assortment of rides and very queer-themed carnival games.

The stage with its NPC bands and open-mic sessions was set up next to the picnic area, where an assortment of highly moddable foods had been provided by whichever restaurants Steph had strong-armed into prevailed upon to contribute. Tables and booths were set up on the other side of the picnic area for any vendors or local businesses that wanted to take part, but don't worry, no one was going to try and get you to sign up for a credit card or anything like that. Steph would have personally beaten anyone who tried that over the head with their own clipboard.

Happy Pride, Fandom! Have at it.

[OOC: After I put up the OCD, that is. Threads are up! Go wild.]

This year's prom had an elegant black and white theme, and the Community Center was decked out with tasteful decorations that had all been covered in black and silver glitter. It was still fancy by at least some measures!

The food and punch were untainted (and unglittered) for the moment, and the dance floor was open for a fabulous time!

Aloy was taking her Sunwing out for a walk.

Or rather, she'd taken it for a flight around the island, just to make sure none of its joints rusted up and it got enough sunlight to fully recharge. They weren't quite done yet, but she'd gotten hungry. Eating in flight on top of an electrified bird-machine... well.

It didn't seem completely safe.

The Sunwing landed not far from the pond, planting its metal talons firmly in the grass. Aloy slid off its back, and stretched her arms. "I have definitely been in the air too long," she sighed.

Her knees felt wobbly.

Aloy was still unclear on how she'd gotten roped into that-- night, last night. And while at least the night had ended productively, it had still left her with this strange, itching sense that she wasn't... doing enough.

That just being here was indulging in something they didn't have time for.

It was the thought of Beta that kept her from giving in to that feeling. Instead, she took it with her into the woods around the school, the first time she'd been there since she'd been a student. Her practice range might not be done yet, but here with the trees around her, the quiet, she could at least keep herself sharp.

Maybe even bring home some dinner for tonight.

She set a little course for herself-- up the trees, from tree to tree, down on the ground, into the pond, out of it, shoot a few makeshift targets she'd pinned up on the trees. It wasn't much, but it would do.

And so she poured all of that itch into her hands and feet as she grasped the branches of the first tree and pulled herself up.

It was that time of year again! New people were here! New people to date, get to know, or perhaps make a mortal enemy of!

You never know.

Signs were hung up in front of the bar, both obviously, and easy to miss for anyone who might wander in and get signed up without their knowledge. Above the bar was a banner (in glitter):

TONIGHT!
THREE MINUTE DATES!
GOOD LUCK WBRURBODY

Your hostess wasn't gonna question it. And a few minutes before 8:00, she took the stage.

"Hello, everyone! And welcome to Three Minute Dates!" Kitty greeted them. "If you're new to this, the rules are simple. We call your name along with one other person. You talk to this person, get to know their likes, their loves, their dreams. After three minutes, a buzzer will sound-" Pause for the sound. "-and you'll hear your name paired with a different person. Et cetera. If there is anyone you'd like to talk to more, the bar will be open afterwards for drinks and conversation. Remember that any violence will get you transported into the pond, but also please don't attempt violence in order to flee, that is rude to the rest of your dates. Now I'm going to get off the stage. Have fun, and good luck..."

She trailed off, not going to attempt to pronounce the word on that sign.
