The sound of cat yeowls and human cries of pain could be heard even out on the street coming from the back storage room of Caritas. A random cat had somehow gotten down in there and decided to mark it's territory.

While Yondaime took care of the cat, Tino was manning the bar. Better Yondaime, than him.

[Kitten issue bbl]
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
“Okay so every time one of the zombies drops a body part we take a shot, if I’m the last one standing you owe me 100 bucks and if you win I’ll give it do you, deal?” Yondaime said after Tino dared question his ability to hold his liquor.

They shook on it, poured several shots of whiskey, opened the bar and waited for the first limbs to fall.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Yondaime was determined to make this a good week, nevermind the fact that none of his letters back home had been answered that could be anything, didn't mean the village was distroyed or everyone was dead or anything like that.

Nope not at all.

The Zombies were taking bets on how long Yondaime could convince himself of that. The pool was open for anyone making a bet.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Yondaime wasn't sure how he managed to pull it off, but he had slept through most of the weekend, getting up only once or twice to eat and do other bodily needs. He must have needed it through and still did as he kept nodding off at the bar.

What was it about sleeping that made a person so damn sleepy!

The zombies and Tino were at least having fun with it. When Yondaime woke up from this latest nap there would be a plethora of drink decoratives lodged in his hair.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Yondaime browsed through the Lexington Park newspaper after cleaning and opening up the bar, going through page by page for something that wasn't soaked in world drama. Granted it was yesterday's newspaper but he knew there was at least one section he could count on!

Sadly, the funnies page was no where to be found, leaving nothing to lift the drama from the room except for the musical stylings of the Zombie Band.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Another Monday, another Ninja polishing a bartop. That sounds way dirtier than intended

Things were quiet but Yondaime didn't mind at all, though he was just waiting for Zombies to pull something.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Yondaime hummed to himself as he went around the bar, cleaning up and doing general matenance stuff. Before he knew it, he was singing.

"♪♫ Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me~~♪♫"

It was just one of those days... that happened to be a Monday
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Yondaime wiped off the bar where he had dropped a bottle of schnapps after one of the zombies decided it would be funny to surprise the ninja with a loud sour note on the saxaphone, right behind his ear.

Oh they were going to pay for that, for now he just emptied a can of cocktail olives into the saxaphone in temporary revenge.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Things were quiet around the bar as Yondaime and Tino wiped down the counter and the Zombies tuned up their instruments.

...Almost too quiet.

So long as you didn't count the odd twang or squeak from the instruments.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Tino was still mopey about the money he'd lost in some betting pool, the Zombies weren't helping much by gloating and Yondaime was going through a semi identity crisis that seems to involve learning to sew flowers and birds.

"Tino?" Yondaime asked in an attempt to get the man's mind off gambling. "Is it less gay for two guys to go to a sewing club thing together?"

Tino just stared and then started laughing.

"Apparently not." At least his mind was off the gambling.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi was having a really hard time adjusting to the Daylight savings timw switch and had been dragging all day. After opening the bar he sat down in a corner and past out fast asleep leaving Tino to man the bar.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
There was a sign hung up outside of Caritas above the normal one that read 'open.'

Weither or not it completely countermaned the open sign or not was yet to be seen.

St. Chad's Day!
Warning:
Zombies bathing within

The stage was a little sloppy as the Zombies had rigged some sort of pseudo bath and managed to haul buckets of water from the hotspring for it.

At least they had an awesome rendition of "Splish Splash" going on.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
So there was this bar, with zombies, a droid server, a ninja and a normal guy who was oddly mute in one of those movie duo sort of ways.

There was often hilarity, but when it happens so often it becomes the norm and thus was unremarkable.

So the Bar was opened as it always was and hilarity ensued wiether anyone was there to see it or not.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
It had been another one of those weekends; oddly enough though nothing had happened to Yondaime this time, though the same couldn’t really be said of others he knew.
At least Tino, the zombies and T1 seemed to all be in one piece, well... as much as the zombies ever were, and there wasn't anything that had to be cleaned.

[Not feeling really good so feel free to mod Tino plz]
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
The zombies wouldn't seem to be quiet, all they could talk about was football and the big game that wsa yesterday.

Arashi had no idea what they were talking about but just nodded and smiled along with them, waiting for a chance to disappear in to the back room and make sure the new robot back there had all the drink mixes he needed.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Another year older and sadly this year Arashi was really feeling it. It didn't stop him from telling 'you're so old' jokes with Tino and the Zombies though.

And even though there was work to be done, they could still have fun.

Free Drinks for the best Old Jokes!!!
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Everyone in the bar was mumbling and feeling pretty irritated about the massive influx of strange phone messages left the previous day. After a couple of years of this Arashi should have been used to it, but the messages yesterday topped any that he’d received before.

The one about handcuffing someone to a bench had been a bit much.

He wasn’t checking any messages the bar had received.

He’d leave those ones for the Zombies to return.

Arashi hung a sign in the window as he opened and headed back behind the bar.

Drinks buy one
get one free!!
For those still trying to make sense of their phone messages!

Caritas, Monday

[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi felt like he’d been living in a daze over the past month or so and now he had to work to make up for it and to shake off the stupor that had somehow settled over everything.

It was good to be back in the bar though working again, out of the house and seeing people, even if it was just Tino and the zombies…who technically didn’t really count as people…

Whistling softly as he cleaned up, Arashi went over to the door, flipped the sign to open and unlocked the door.

The bar was ready for business.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
There was sadly only so many times a counter could be wiped down without becoming clean, thus making the wiping completely pointless.

Not that Arashi was at that point... yet.

The bar was open, and eveything in it was squeaky clean.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi eyed the raw oyster, egg and hot sauce that filled his shotglass dubiously. The zombies were egging him on though as they waited for him to shoot his before they did theirs.

Taking a deep breath, he looked again at the shot glass and grimaced... he could face down an entire army and giant demons, but a shellfish was making him balk.

He paused only a moment more before closing his eyes and trying not to taste too much before he swallowed it.

....It was like eating spicy, fishy snot and took a while for him to make sure it would stay down.

However, seeing the zombies shoot theirs turned the ninja green at the gills.

At least Tino was waiting patiently with the mop and bucket to clean up and open the bar.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi was behind the counter with Tino making sure that everything was clean and stocked, etc. It had become a usual happening after the weekend, even the zombies seemed to help out by not leaving their body parts around as much.

...kinda.

Still the bar was open and they were ready to service! Not Dirty
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Gone were last weeks pimp hats it was now officially the week of Halloween and the bar was now decorated in fashion with pumpkins, orange lights, black bats and streamers. It made everything very festive and kept the zombie quiet.

Maybe Arashi could try out some of the cocktails he had been thinking up.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi just leaned on the bar, pausing every once in a while in his cleaning to stare at the Zombie band and their... rather large pimp hats.

They were seriously as wide as the zombies were tall. "You know that grime is never going to come out of the velvet," Arashi pointed out to the leader who had the largest most pimped out pimp hat.

He gave a garbled reply that might have been something about scotch guard. It was hard to understand someone when they didn't have a lower jaw.

And with that Caritas was open.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
This weekend never happened.

At least that's what Arashi wished he could say. It didn't stop him from trying to drown out the memories with the various liquors available at the bar.

Before starting his drink fest he had put a sign in the window:

Free Drinks to those wanting to forget this past weekend!**

**The bartender on duty is not held responsible for the alcohol content of above drinks.

There were probably a lot of people out there wanting to forget.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Being single didn't feel much different that being married. At least not yet. Though if the zombies didn't stop playing All by Myself he was going to start chucking things at them. Nevermind the fact that he was the one who asked for the divorce, that fact seemed to go right through their rotting skulls.

Tino at least was sympathetic. He didn't much like the song either.

There wasn't much Arashi could do but open the bar and hope the music didn't keep people away.
[identity profile] mouthy-merc.livejournal.com
There was just something so alluring about watching massive quantities of sushi travel around in a circle. Even if you weren't hungry, seeing it come by, you started to think 'Hey, maybe I could have another bite'.

And then ate something with cream cheese and jalepenos and deepfried fake crab meat.

It was a cruel thing.

"Dibs on the tuna!"

[[For the blond guy! Restaurant open for all other sushi needs, though.]]]]
[identity profile] canadianpopstar.livejournal.com
When Robin came into work, feeling all attractive and swaggery and boobless, she found a very disgruntled young woman behind the bar.

When she was done laughing, she assured him she'd be calling him Tina all night, and then wrote up a little sign.

Girly drinks and manly beer -- half price!
Or free if you tell who you are right away, thanks

And with that, she went back to admiring her own reflection in a back of a spoon.

[I AM AROUND ALL NIGHT WHAT UP.]
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
With how busy the bar had been over the weekend, Arashi was in the back, looking for bottles to re-stock what was running low or completely out.

Thankfully Tino was around to cover.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Going into the back of the bar to restock a few things, Arashi inadvertently started a box avalanche and was now stuck there cleaning it up.

So it was Tino at the bar tonight taking orders.

[Computer is on the fritz. So working on getting it to be not so... fritzy so I can be on later this week without resorting to using the laptop.]
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi was spending most of his time behind the bar sitting down. No reason as to why.

And no that wasn't him limping slightly when he walked and it had nothing to do with spending the previous night on the couch with his husband who wasn't really his husband that he might have been thinking of divorcing to the point that the paperwork was hidden in his desk at home.

At least Arashi thought he spend the night with him on the couch, it was difficult to tell since there had been absolutely no sign of the bastard when he woke up.

Nope, no reason at all for him to be kind sore and cranky as he went through the bar and got it ready to open.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
The leader of the Zombie band and Tino were apparently having a disagreement over the volume of music the band played. The zombies wanted to crank the volume up to eleven but Tino was afraid that it would make all the glasses in the bar shatter.

No matter what Arashi tried he couldn't get them to calm down.

So he sent them both to time out and opened Caritas at a normal noise level.
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Arashi opened up Caritas and thankfully didn't have Tino hovering over him this week. Instead Tino was hanging up streamers along with the Zombie band while Arashi watched.

"You know the newbies won't be here until this weekend right?" He grinned at them and just got a blank shrug in return while some of the zombies grunted and moans. It was hard to talk without a lower jaw.

"OKay.. okay, just wanted to make sure."
[identity profile] konoha-flash.livejournal.com
Tino was showing Arashi the ropes in his own thorough but silent way. Where all the cups were, mixing the drinks, how to tell whiskey from whisky (as there apparently was a very important difference) and other various ins and outs of the bar.

Arashi didn't think it would be too much to remember and Tino and the Zombie band promised to bail him out if he set the place on fire.

"Working here is going to be interesting," He smirked and opened the bar.
[identity profile] spring-lost.livejournal.com
So somehow 'doing something' had wound up with Wade and Nate lurking in a tree. With their squirt guns. It was probably a combination of events that was to blame; Nate's insistence on some cover and somewhere safe, and Wade's...

Well.

Nate clung to his squirt gun and peered out between the leaves. "I think the tree should have a name."

After spending her day trolling ROBOCON, Jaye headed to work, where she found that there would be a thing going on for robots there, too.

"Do robots even drink?" Jaye asked, though her only answer was something Tino muttered about him having to make the drinks anyway.

[There will be another robot meet and greet in the lounge again tonight! You can assume the 'bots know about it. Have at it! As soon as I put up the OCD.]

Antarctica, huh? Looked pretty. She'd have to get over there and check out the penguins and all that.

She wasn't sure why everyone was so bundled up. It was, like, 50 or something out. You didn't even need a jacket for that.

Hey, Faith grew up in Boston. She knew from cold weather.

Anyway. Caritas was open, and running a special on frozen drinks.
[identity profile] tricksy-spy.livejournal.com

It was amazing how many papers had piled up while she was gone for a week, and Aly had finally gathered a stack of them up to take to a place where she could fuel herself with sugar and caffeine while working through them.

J, GOB would do, and she found a large table by the window to spread out her notes and reports from home next to a large cup of black coffee and a lemon poppyseed muffin the size of her head.

Sometime in the afternoon, phone calls started coming in to Zoe from the away teams, with messages of success that made her feel more relieved than she had in days. After talking to Harriet and Kerrigan about what they'd been able to accomplish, the plans to finish this fight finally started to come together, and all that seemed to be left to do was inform the town, and gather more volunteers.

Once again, fliers appeared around town and in the dorms, calling everyone who was left together for a second town meeting. Zoe gave the people who arrived some time to get settled and check in with each other, before she got up to speak.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice," she said. "I'm pleased to say that I have good news to share. All of our travelers have successfully found the information we sent them to search for, and with this information, the administration has come up with two plans: one to stop the angels, and one to bring everyone who's gone missing home."

First, Zoe explained the plan to lure the angels into the preserve which I will not type out again so as to not bore you all, and then she opened the floor to Harriet, to explain how the missing persons were being brought back which has its own OCD thread la la la.

"What we need now are volunteers to deal with the angels, and to make this plan work. I'm not going to lie to you," she said. "It's going to be dangerous, and I know that my job is to keep the students and teachers out of danger as much as possible. But I also know that if anyone can pull this off, it's the people in this town. If we all work together, we can get rid of this threat, and get our friends and family home. If you have any questions before you volunteer, either Dean Jones or I would be happy to answer them."

[I am in no way ashamed of tonight's post subject. If you're a blinker or teleporter, you can handwave coming to the meeting and volunteering, if you want.]

You know, the more Rikku thought about it, the more she thought maybe Cable was on to something. There was something seriously Zen and meditative about enormous guns. Hello, guns! Hello, Zen room! Hello, shooting range!

The Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center was open. And hyper.

Arashi and Wade headed over to the gym for some sparring. Yes, it wasn't the talking that they really needed to do more of, but Arashi didn't want to push him too much and they both needed to work out some agressions with each other.

"Since we're inside we'll need to hold back more than normal," He observed.

D'Argo was pretty sure tonight was going to be a quiet night. Thusly, he was spending his time badgering Tino on teaching him how to use one of the computers they had here. Don't question him, he had his reasons.

"Come on," D'Argo said, "I've used one before. Not here, but they can't be much difference."

He was stopping short of I'll be your best friend, but only because he'd never been a junior high student on Earth to know that one.

The first thing that might be noticed when students walked into the Town Hall was the towering stone troll statues that had been dragged in to grace the corners of the dance floor.  It being Homecoming and a semi-formal dance, the trolls were decked out appropriately in hats, glitter, and togas.  Fairy lights were strung across the ceiling, some twined with streamers and some dripping glitter and confetti across the dance floor.

The walls were decorated with blown up pictures of significant events at Fandom: Graduations, the school blowing up, the Christmas pageants, plays, carnivals, zombies, all the moments that make Fandom Fandom.  Given a place of honour on the walls were a mock up of an exploding volcano, a massive gremlin in a bow tie, and, of course, the Stickbug flag.

Large lit up snowmen congregated around the punch bowl against a snowy backdrop and across the ballroom near the stage, there was a mural of large dinosaurs reaching up to enjoy a glittery streamer dinner.  The wall of the door though had the biggest picture of all - a painting of the island at night from across the water.

As students dropped off their wraps, they were pointed to vote for Homecoming Court then encouraged to proceed into the ballroom.

After coming from Cable-san's Shop Ino wandered into the park and found a quiet place to mentally compose a few letters. She'd forgotten her notebook and pens back in the dorm, but didn't feel like heading all the way back. Her dad was going to kill her though if she didn't send something off soon.

It was a bit strange to be celebrating her birthday away from her family, but Ino found she didn't mind too much, the park was a very beautiful place to spend the day, and she was slowly getting to know people. Maybe next year she'd have a party.

First though, letters home.

Deadpool hesitated before going to bodyslide off the island. A sudden surge of guilt over not saying a real good bye to anyone.

Not that he was worried about this. Nope. Poking at Apocalypse and Sinister for answers? No problem!

And yet...

He hated that guilty feeling.

Obviously, things would need to change. That's the first and foremost thought on Dolores Umbridge's mind this evening. With the new semester approaching and so many threats to her still around, things would definitely need to change.

The school was rebuilt, her position was secured and things would definitely need to change.

People would have to go. And if they refused, she would have to make them. That would be easy enough. They all seemed to doubt her power even with the displays she'd let them see.

Things would have to change. Dolores Umbridge would start these changes on Monday.

[And here's the first post for the last stand of Dolores Umbridge. This post is for the adults/teachers but there will be a thread for students to watch. OCD is going up and I am around but might be AFK for a short time to go to the grocery store. Thanks!]

There was a bus at the end of the Causeway waiting for the students to arrive.  It had already been loaded with tents, food, and lots and lots of paint.  And marshmallows.  You couldn't forget the marshmallows.
All that was needed now was the students, their stuff, and lots and lots of luck that no one would get eaten by a bear.

[Gathering to go FB of course.  Anything that happens on the bus once it gets going will, of course, be NFB.

For the students going, more info in OOC thread.]

Jaina still wasn't exactly sure why she had this job, except it got the owner to shut up. And upon finding out there was going to be a wedding reception here (and hey, didn't she meet Deadpool? she had no idea he was married), she really wasn't happy. Regardless, she set up the best she could, considering she'd never seen what a party here was supposed to look like.

She was trying to think of it in terms like "If this doesn't turn me to the dark side, I'm doing pretty good."

[Up omg early for party.]

Deadpool was going to try sparring with a new partner today, and this is why he was doing a strange little hoppity dance while he waited.

(Fighty time that doesn't involve ruining the living room with blood!)

And there was also that. Second time in only a few months that he needed to replace the couch. He buying tarps if the roomie kept wanting to fight there, damn it.

With the school still in ruins, the administration decided that the park would be the best place to hold the Welcome Picnic. Tables were set up with food, nametags, and plenty of glitter. There was also a sign up listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, in case anyone had missed it.

Welcome to all the new people!

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD is done! This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g* Both posts are open to everyone.]
