Café Fina, Thursday

Lumiere had woken up with a headache. You know the type. On the counter in the café there were now two bottles which formerly held wine.
Lumiere also noted today as he opened up the store that he felt lighter today. Almost feathery. Except in places where he was not lighter, and was, most certainly, actually heavier.
Lumiere was surprisingly not upset at spending the day as a sexy female featherduster.
... Probably because he looked very much like his love interest back at the castle.

Today's Specials Board reads:
The special? We have a few more chorus girls than usual and the pepper shaker is no longer a drag queen.

Because really, what else mattered if you had boobies?

Moist was already sick of the rain.

Okay, the leak in the clock tower was fixed, so there was no longer the beginnings of a baby river flowing down the spiral staircase, but still. He'd had to trudge through the steady downpour, and he was positively dripping by the time he opened the post office.

Gladys, and they were going to have to figure out a way to keep the mail dry when she went out on delivery, looked at him. "You Appear To Be Rather Moist."

Moist stared back with deep suspicion. "Gladys? That wasn't a pun, was it?"

"No, Mr Lipwig. Golems Do Not Make Puns."

"Good. See that it says that way."

[sorry for lateness, the evil migraine beasties attacked and held me captive]

Luke's Diner, Thursday

Thursday, March 8th, 2007 02:46 am
[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com
Why yes, that is Jude behind the counter looking a little more punk-rock than usual. That would have to do with the fact that skinny-boy clothes such as his on a female frame of approximately the same weight still tended to be a good deal tighter, while baggy skater shorts get baggier. And the chest was totally smudging the chalkboard when she tried to write up the specials.

Today's Specials

The Little Chicken Kebab That Could
My Gumbo Was My Village
My Angry Double Chocolate Devil Cake

"Anything But Ordinary" Gumbo
"Who Knows" Meatloaf
with mashed potatoes or fries
"Take Me Away" Chicken Kebabs
"Complicated" Paradise Bread
baked with cheese and peppers
"Fall to Pieces" Caramel Coffee Cake
"My Happy Ending" Double Chocolate Devil Cake

Whatever kitchen staff had a certain few songs on loop was going to get a Canadian-style beatdown as soon as Jude figured it out.

Until then, she is here to serve.

[[Should be around except for errands and such, minor OCD is coming up. Boobies!]]

Atlas Gym, Thursday

Femininity issues aside, Deadpool had a sparring session to go to and he was damned if the lack of a Y chromosome was going to stop him from fighting.

He was bouncing as he waited, but not for the sheer joy of kicking ass, but because it was fun. He really did have a nice rack.

[[ooc: Atlas gym is open, Deadpool is here for his mentorees and anyone else who wants to gawk at the merc.]]

If there was one thing about Turtle Wexler, she was true to her word. So there was a sign on the window today (because she very well couldn't put it outside with all that rain):

Turtle & Canary thanks you for braving the weather to visit us today!
As a result, we are offering a Brave Soldier special on Squishies! 50% off!
And free hot cocoa!
With any purchase five dollars and up

Meanwhile, she may have been marking up umbrellas and river rafts, just a little.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Red, Blue, Tut tut it looks like Rain!

Turtle & Canary is open.

The rain made a visit to the park more unpleasant than necessary, so Lucifer went elsewhere for a peaceful atmosphere. The only consession toward this new form was a sharply tailored suit, made for a woman's frame.

She sat quietly, drinking a cup of tea and looking over a newspaper.

The Hitachiin twins were in no mood for getting any shame today. Once they'd gotten over the initial reaction to each of their 'transformations', they dressed to flaunt it.

Work wasn't going to be very successful today either. They had to check this new phenomena out a little, didn't they?

Sparky's is open~

When Hannelore came into the shop, she was wearing a long, bright yellow rain slicker and matching hat. When she pulled those off, she was wearing a black coat under it, and a head scarf.

Three layers, a plastic bag, and a pair of galoshes later (all of which were shaken off and left to dry under the awning outside), and Hannelore and Winslow were inside and dry.

Hannelore quickly hung a sign on the door before setting to work counting a huge jar of marbles. A man in Philadelphia had sent them to her through the site, and he wanted her to count each and everyone to prove to his wife that he hadn't lost any.

LEAVE SHOES OUTSIDE. IF YOU ARE MUDDY, STAND ON MAT DIRECTLY INSIDE.

[P.N. Inc is open for business yaaaaaaaaay]
[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com
Lana opened the store, still rather bemused at the idea of Girl!Jim.

She was also incredibly wet. From the rain.

Surprisingly, the store didn't seem to be flooding as so many others seemed to be starting to do. She wondered if that might have something to do with it having belonged to Mr. Phale before.

Anyone entering the building would find a tall...generously-proportioned... young woman in an eyepatch behind the counter, looking perplexed but not necessarily unhappy.

They'd also see that the Guy With Tools signs were up on the outside doors (scotchgarded with cling-wrap) and in the lobby, as usual, but someone had stuck a yellow Post-It note on each, in a strategic location, that said Chick in black Sharpie.

The rain is really coming down, but Pippi is determined to get as many boy/girls and girl/girls, and maybe even a few boy/boys, down to the spa as possible for pampering. (No wax. Unless that's your thing, but this is a public comm so don't ask, don't tell.)

The handwavy NPC guy who takes care of the school golf carts agreed with Nadia that the roads were too slick and flooded to use them safely. So after a handwavy trip to Turtle & Canary, Pippi made sure there were enough umbrellas and galoshes for everybody who wants to come down that didn't have their own.

Yay! Pampering!

[ooc: Any and all are welcome (student, teacher, townie) Pippi *handwavy* sent out emails/flyers and you happened across one if you'd like to show up. I'm going to do a "Pippi runs out of gold coins" thing at some point, so enjoy these wild expenditures while you can. Also please wait for OCD Go go go! Be girly!]]

"I swear, Rosette, I don't know what happened! I was like this when I woke up!" Chrono was flailing his long slender female arms, and the little useless wings on his back were fluttering too.

"Ack! Stay away from me, you evil thing! Did you get a good look at yourself? Did you see how cute you look? That ain't natural! Stay away! You're....you're possessed or something! Give me back the Chrono who isn't a girl!" Rosette was practically clinging to the little crucifix she kept holding out as if to fend her new famale companion off, although years upon years of training told her that it didn't work.

"You think I like being this way? I don't like being stuck as a cute boy, let alone a girl!"

Besides, if Lucifer saw him like this...Oh, God, that would make them even for the whole cherub thing. And then some.

"This sucks," Chrono dropped onto a pew, and pouted. Cutely.

Since Aziraphale was covering the chess club in Ami's absense, Wilson went ahead to the Pizza Planet to get tables set up for the meeting they had scheduled with their mentorees.

A brief conversation with the manager and a bit of rearranging and a couple of tables were pushed up against a booth making room for ten people to sit comfortable and chat for a bit.

Pleased, Wilson settled into the booth and began to flip through the menu ordering a beer when the waitress came by to sip on while he waited.

[ooc: Wilson and Phale are here to meet with their mentorees and those threads are locked to mentorees but otherwise the Pizza Planet is open for your cheesy, tomato saucy needs. Wee OCDs on the way are up!]

Okay, the rain situation was getting more than a little insane. Perhaps even more so than his roommate and his classmates being female all of a sudden.

Or perhaps Neil just felt that way because he had to slog through some fairly deep puddles to get down from the dorms to the Nest tonight.

Shrugging out of his water logged coat, he gave Mazikeen a smile as he hung up the coat and got to the business of getting the Nest ready for the evening's crowd.

[ooc: I'm going to be afk till 9ish so please mod Mazikeen if you need immediate service.]

Phoebe was cheerful when she showed up to open the club after the mentor/mentoree pizza party.

She talked to the zombies -- and retrieved the drummer's leg from where it was tangled in the stage curtains' hanger -- and then she glanced around.

Water was seeping into the club so she did what she could to keep it a little cleaner.

Trying to make it festive, she put up a sign.

Caritas has gone tropical!

A taxicab from the mainland pulled up and stopped.

And waited.

And waited.

Suddenly in a whirl of chittering and radio equipment, 11 proud members of the Fandom Press Corps came racing towards the car and stared way, way up at the driver.

The driver wiped his eyes, closed them, and then stared back.

"You've got to be kidding me."

Through pantomime, the squirrels assured him that they were quite serious and that their teeth could do serious damage to his tires if he chose to displease them.

A few minutes later a taxicab full of squirrels and equipment zoomed off towards the city.

Moist (still very much a man, thank you) stood at the top of the basement stairs. Water was lapping at the bottom step, and even as he watched, it crept higher.

This could not be good.

He might not know much about weather patterns, climatology, or ground topography - in point of fact, he didn't know anything about those things - but he did know if you could see the water getting deeper it heralded a future rather damper than anyone would like.

"Right. Gladys? We're moving the mail. Up to the second floor. And the tills, and the ledgers, in fact anything made of paper."

"Yes, Mr Lipwig." She gathered an armful of mail and walked towards the stairs.

Moist took one last look down the stairs - and it was definitely higher - then shut the door firmly.

Even though the rain had soaked Tori to the bone as she walked the beach, she didn't care. All she cared about right now, was hopefully finding Katara or some sign that she was nearby.

It worried her that she hadn't heard from her or seen her in quite some time, and Tori wasn't the only one. Molly, Chad, Sokka, Mel and Lucas hadn't either.

She sighed in frustration and continued her trek, across the wet sand. It was cold out and Tori was shivering ever so slightly, but it didn't deter her from search. Katara, where are you?

Feeling very angry and frustrated, Tori pulled out a flow of water from the ocean and mixing it with the rain, blasted a nearby piece of driftwood, splintering the wood into numerous pieces.

Yes, she was pissed off. If something had happened to Katara, Tori would never forgive herself.

[OOC: Open for anyone who might want to be walking around, in the pouring rain as well! :D]
