Another year older and sadly this year Arashi was really feeling it. It didn't stop him from telling 'you're so old' jokes with Tino and the Zombies though.

And even though there was work to be done, they could still have fun.

You're so old...

Okay, so techincally his birthday was yesterday... but oh well.

Flopping down on barstool, Wade grinned at him. "Arashi, beer me!"

"I can do that, but you didn't say the magic word," He smirked and crossed his arms.

"Please? Pretty please?"

"Not it but fine."

His smirked dimmed slightly as he went and grabbed Wade a beer and slid it down the counter to him.

"...what's the magic word?" Wade asked, eying him warily.

"If you don't know I'm not gonna tell you," he grinned and shook his head.

That didn't make the look go away. "Are you sure?"

"Yep," he shrugged. "It's okay that you don't remember. Especially since I think we went through the same thing last year."

"...did you get kidnapped and this is your subtle way of telling me?"

Arashi laughed warmly and shook his head. "No.. no if i had been kidnapped again by someone from your past I wouldn't be quiet or subtle about it."

"Blink twice if you're being held captive." No, he so wasn't letting this one go. Not until Arashi said what it was.

He didn't blink, cept maybe once to indicate no. "There are currently no threats on my life nor am I being held captive Wade."

"Well okay then." He nodded and sipped his beer. "Is it... an anniversary?"

"You could say that," Arashi nodded. "Not ours though since we don't have one anymore," He pointed out asn got Wade another beer as his started to get low.

"Did I miss your birthday?"

"Ding."

"...how about a beer on me?"

Arashi waved his hand and smiled with a little shake of his head. "Thanks, it's okay though. I can't really fault you for somethign I nearly forgot myself."

"Does it help I haven't celebrated mine in years?" Wade asked, far too cheerful about that fact.

"Hey I tried to celebrate it! If you ever told me when it was!" Arashi argued.

"It's... sometime. In the fall."

"Yeah I know that much," he smirked and got Wade another beer. "It's still okay though, doesn't really feel like a year to celebrate."

"...should we pour a beer on the ground for our homies no longer here?"

"Seems like a waste of good beer," Arashi pointed out. "I know for one that Jiraiya would definitly yell at me for it."

"Hey, he might enjoy the gesture!"

"He probably would, but then he'd yell." Arashi smirked and leaned on the counter. "So this is probably the worst idea I've had in a while. But how are things going with you?"

Wade tried to think of something that wasn't awkward. "I saw an old episode of Who's The Boss the other day."

Ahh, that worked.

"Never saw it," Arashi said. "Is it like Top Model?"

"Exactly like it. Only with less models and more Tony Danza."

"So nothing like it then?" He chuckled.

"Unless you're reeeeaally drunk."
