Caritas - Monday Evening

The leader of the Zombie band and Tino were apparently having a disagreement over the volume of music the band played. The zombies wanted to crank the volume up to eleven but Tino was afraid that it would make all the glasses in the bar shatter.

No matter what Arashi tried he couldn't get them to calm down.

So he sent them both to time out and opened Caritas at a normal noise level.

The Zombie leader is sitting in time out, but the rest of the band is there.

Ask for something, or Tino can come out of time out momentarily to mod it for you.

There was a mercenary there. A gleeful one at that.

"Sex on the Beach!"

Arashi rolled his eyes at Wade as he sat down. "I thought that you didn't want to do that any more because the sand doesn't make good lube?" He teased and then put down a bottle of bear in front of the merc.

He knew him way to well.

"It's a drink!" Wade insisted, pouting at him. "With rum in it, I think. Maybe something of a citrus. Tropical and all that."

"I know what it is Wade," Arashi sighed. "I know it well enough to know that you wouldn't drink it if I made it for you."

"...true." He picked up his beer, sipping it and looking around. "Likin' the new job?"

He nodded and grabbed a rag to wipe down the bar. "It's not bad, pretty slow on Mondays..."

Things were still a little akward at times. "What class are you doing this term?" He asked as he cleaned some glasses.

"Cooking!" Wade answered cheerfully. "So... I might need to get you to show me how to make those dumpling things you do."

(Mmm... dumplings.)

"I should have known you wanted something," he mummbled not meaning to sound bitter.

"Sure, it's pretty easy. A lot of it you can buy store bought," Arashi smiled.

"Well not now," Wade muttered, looking down at his beer. "I just know you're good at those."

He sucked at the whole... friends after relationship thing. Vanessa trying to blow him up and Mary-- being Mary should've clued him in on THAT.

"And stuff."

"I know Wade," he nodded. "I can show you sometime. It involves a lot of chopping which you'll like," he smirked and went to refill Wade's beer when he was getting low.

"I dunno if I should let the kids have knives... They are pretty crazy and I can't be held responsible if they start stabbing their classmates!"

"I don't know Wade," He grinned. "There are some students I would trust more than you with knives. Or you can pre-chop everything for them."

He checked to see if there were any more glasses to clean and frowned not finding any. Damn.

"So what have you been up to lately?"

"Went to the future to see Jan, the adorable mutant messiah," Wade replied, thinking of what happened recently. "Found out that I have another new teaching buddy. This one owes Weaz money still. Aaaaand... came here. I need to get out more."

"Jan? You mean the baby?" Arashi asked, actually seeming interested.

"Yup! She's still a baby." A beat. "Well, bigger, but... you know. Squishy and cries a lot still."

"Is she safe at least?"

"Seemed pretty safe to me!" Oh the future. The magical, post-apocalyptic future.

Where a baby was oddly safe.

Shhh. It all made sense in the Marvel universe.

"That's good." Arashi chuckled. "I probably should have asked if Nate thinks she's safe."

"Oh yes, Mr. Mayor," Wade replied, waving his hands in the air and rolling his eyes. "He must if he was willing to leave her there. Big ol' control freak he is."

That would be the sound of Arashi dropping a glass and it shattering on the floor.

"Okay wait, I know I've been living under a rock lately... but back up there. Nate? Mayor? Of Fandom!?"

Wade nodded. "Apparently the position was thrust upon him."

"...that sounded faar dirtier than it should have," he said blandly.

"Well... is this a bad thing for him to be mayor? I mean.. maybe it will keep him busy enough to do anything stupid."

Wade paused and thought about he previous statement. "You have a dirty mind!"

A beat.

"The last time he was in charge of an island, it blew up! How did they miss that on the resume?!"

"I learned from the best," Arashi replied casually.

"...Did they even ask for a resumé?"

"Some how, I doubt they did," Wade grumped. "He goes all messiah-y and tries to kick me off the island, I'm so shooting him in the head."

Where Tino is moping.

Don't ask me why, I've been really wanting to put people in time out lately.

I sadly can't do that to my boss or co-workers though. ;-;
