It would seem that sleepiness had a delayed effect on Turtle; either that, or she was up too late with radio, plus the whole fire drill thing, adding up to her feeling a little groggy at work. She considered getting herself some coffee, but coffee still tasted gross to her, and she was settling in with what she figured might be the only redeamable form of coffee.

"I'm keeping busy," said Harper. "I'm TA for my Dress Like A Pop Star workshop, I've got a part in the play, and I'm totally not stalking any boys."

Maybe she should have kept that little tidbit to herself.

"Anyway, if Fruit Roll-ups come in 10 per box, I'm estimating I'll need about 72 boxes. Better make it 75 just to be on the safe side, in case I need to make alterations."

Yeah, mentioning that you totally weren't stalking boys was a good indication that you totally were, so Turtle arched an eyebrow a little and put that one aside for later.

Especially because what else Harper was mentioning was so much more interesting.

"72 boxes? Of Fruit Roll-ups, you say?"

Color Turtle intriiiigued.

Jon wandered into the store and stopped in front of Turtle. He set a five dollar bill on the counter and grinned. "Rah rah rah?"

"Would you have preferred a sis boom bah?" Turtle asked, grinning faintly back, though most of it was in her quirked eyebrow as she slide the bill from the counter to her pocket and scratched Jon off the list which was, of course, right there beside the cash register. "Thanks, Jon. How was your date?"

"I wanted to know if what food to take on a trip," Shilo replied. "I have to head home Wednesday, and I don't know how soon I'll be back at my house. So I want some filling, high-energy stuff on hand in case I need it."

"Granola bars might be good for something like that," Turtle said, "and jerky. They're portable and last a real long time, and you can get some that'll really fill you up, too."

Romeo found his way to the store in early evening, and stocked up on Oreos, orange soda and mint body wash before walking up to the counter. "I still owe you money."

He didn't like being in debt.

"Handwavey Fifty for the stuff."

She was not going to ask about the interesting combination, no way.

Didn't everyone wash down Oreos with orange soda? It was a perfectly normal combination.

The body wash was just for the tingliness.

"Here is the handwavey fifty plus five," Romeo said, with a small grin of his own as he parted with the cash. "How did you have enough umbrellas on hand, anyhow?"

"Thank you, Romeo!" Turtle chirped, punching in a few numbers on the cash register first before striking him off the list beside it. "And I just ran down to the store, really. We had a lot in stock."

Ellie stopped into the store to buy some milk for her kitty!roommate, as well as various other grocery type things.

"Hey Turtle," she greeted when she wandered over to the counter. "I have the five bucks I owe you."
