Duck Pond, mid-afternoon

Well, after the early-morning whatever she'd done with Rikku and an extremely wrinkly older woman and a couple of other people, Dawn had decided maybe going to a beach party wasn't the best idea, tempting as it might be.

So, instead, she was walking around the pond with a bunch of birdseed, placing clumps in a circle as she eyed the waterfowl, trying to figure out how much she'd need.

"Duck. Duck. Duck. Duck. Duck..."

Ow. She felt a nip at her leg.

"Ow, okay, Swan!"

Then she resumed her actions.

"Duck. Duck. Duck. Duck."

It wasn't long before Dawn was running on the grass, followed by many waterfowl in search of birdseed.

"Dammit, I said didn't say goose!"

Clearly, they didn't know the rules.

[OOC: Open to anyone who might want to play. No OCD!]

"That's a motto I've pretty much used throughout my life," Peter said. "I think I work on a subtler level of silliness, though."

Because making jokes while punching guys while wearing bright tights isn't the most silly thing.

Peter ducked. After realizing Dawn threw something and he didn't catch where it landed, he had to ask, "Wait, was there a duck or were you just testing my reaction time?"

"It's one of my trademarks," Peter said, standing up as if he hadn't just looked like a jumpy weirdo. "So you're seeing the game through even after getting chased? I kind of admire the determination."

"No good reason aside from further attempts by the ducks to nibble you," Peter considered. "And if you can live with that, there's no reason not to charge ahead."

"Well, I'm a few hours away from going home to do work as a reporter writing about a secretly crazy baron's rule, on a world that may be a lie," Peter said. He took the birdseed. "So I probably need something like this to balance out my karma. Do the ducks actually know how to play, or are you just throwing feed at them and seeing how it goes?"

"I probably do, but this is what I have, so I'll take it," Peter said. "Duck!" He threw some feed toward a duck. It seemed confused and hungry.

"I'm going to ask the silliest question," Peter said, while holding the bag out for Dawn to take more seed. "Are there points or a way to win, or is this a keep playing until we get bored or run out of seed thig?"

"That's what I figured," Peter said. "DUCK!" Some seed went flying.

"You're welcome. I already rambled a little about my deal, so you know I can relate," Peter said. "Hopefully things haven't been too bad for you since high school."
