A bee had gotten into the bar. Kitty didn't care. It's fly around but leave her alone, and she wasn't about to kill it when it wasn't hurting anybody. Tino however, was swatting thin air because it might enter his vicinity. So that was what you were dealing with, bar patrons! A docile bee and Tino looking like he was either creating a new dance move or having a seizure, or maybe both.

"... What's up with him?"

Mike had had other openers upon entering and ambling over to the bar. But, then Tino happened.

"There's a bee," she said simply.

"That –– yeah okay, I'll allow that." There could have been a multitude of less ordinary reasons. And he'd seen people flip out over bees before. "Poor guy. Can I get a beer anyway?"

"I'll allow it," she said, going to get one. "How've you been?"

"You know me, cool as ever." He shrugged. "Getting started on some furniture orders soon. Met a nice girl who lives too far away. The usual."

"Yay for one thing, boo for the other," she said, sliding over the beer. "Want to talk about either?"

Mike shrugged again.

"How's the wedding planning?"

That was probably answer enough.

"I got a dress," she replied. "And have done like nothing else, so there's that."

Jessica didn't really like coming in here for reasons, but whatever, she was dealing with stuff. She needed a drink. "I'll have anything besides what he's having," she said, nodding toward Tino. "Is he okay?"

"There's a bee, so he's losing his mind," Kitty said. "I promise this is not alcohol-related."

"And the bee didn't even sting him with a hallucinogenic stinger or something?" Jessica checked. "You have a weird bartender."

"This is why the flamingo's trying to take his job," Kitty said sagely. "What can I get you?"

"Something pink in honor of the flamingo getting ahead in life," Jessica decided.

"I can do that," she said, starting on the drink. "How are things?"

"Way more messed up than you could imagine," Jessica said. "But in a relatively quiet way at the moment."

"I dunno, I can imagine some insanity," Kitty said. "I'm glad for your quiet though. Sometimes you need it or you just go nuts with everything."

"My reality and an immeasurable number of realities related to it are gone and parts of them seem to make up a world where Doom is capital-G God," Jessica said. "Betcha didn't imagine that one."

Kitty was glad to have the moment to set the very pink drink on the bar so she could think about that. "I was actually with you until Doom as a god. Doom as a god?"

"I figured that one would do the job," Jessica said before taking a sip of her drink. "I don't have much more information right now. I'm still doing some research. But Doom seems to be considered the creator of all things."

"That's psycho," Kitty said. "Nothing about that is okay."

"Nope, not really," Jessica said. "But while I'm in research mode, it is what it is, unfortunately."

"Gonna hope that gets worked out quick. I'm sure there are worse things, but..."

That was her not being able to think of any.

"The worse thing would be if there wasn't a world ruled by Doom," Jessica said. "Then there might be nothing out there."

"I guess Doom is a step up then," she frowned. "You know any way I can help, I will, even if I have no idea how."

"You don't secretly have great cosmic power that would let you recreate entire realities, do you?" Jessica checked.

"Not currently," Kitty said. "But that kind of thing can always happen."

"Well, if it happens, let me know," Jessica said. "Until then, I'll have to stick with Plan A."
