While Anders' roommate was fighting demons and getting visits from very attractive fox-people, Anders was fighting a battle of his own.
It was a battle against a rather enormous pile of invoices and order slips that needed to be entered into the accounting software so bills could be paid before more of those funny red envelopes showed up, but it was a noble battle all the same.
... frankly, Anders would have felt better-equipped to handle the demons.
