Once the speedy dates were speedily over, the bar resumed normal operation. Just with a lot more people hanging around than your usual Saturday night. And miraculously without any random shenanigans from Tino.

Mike was honestly pretty surprised.

Atton... had ordered his second soda of the night shortly before the whole thing really shut down. So he picked a quiet booth to finish it in.

Frankly, he was okay with going home alone and having a nice, refreshing nap.

And then she'd decided to nurse a beer at the bar instead of actually signing up. Completely by accident. Yeah.

She was still there, though she doubted she would be for very long.

Eventually, he let go of that idea. He sank down in a seat next to her with his soda. "Hey," he said quietly.

"Can't complain too much," Dante said, grinning. He'd scored at least one free drink. He was easy. "Any good war stories?"

Isabela had noticed the easy part, not that she was much harder. "Met a couple of new people," she said. "One of them very easy on the eyes."

Jasper doubted he'd stick around too much longer but he was still there, drinking a water and trying to get his thoughts in order.

He didn't want to lose control at any point least of all right here and right now.

"Want to get out of here?" he said. "And I don't mean that as, y'know, naked time. We haven't caught up in a while."

Couple of weeks. Really, what he meant was she looked a little down and he was in a contemplative mood.

"Merrill's a sweet kitten of a girl who deserves nothing but happiness." Which included pretty boys and pretty girls if that's what she wanted. "Anyone who'd take advantage or hurt her deserves to have their balls cut off."

Isabela grinned and raised her own glass. "Which would be a great tragedy for an ever increasing number of people on the island."

Dante took a sip of his own glass.

"Huh," he said. "Sounds like someone's secretly a mama bear."

His tone was a mix of vaguely dismissive and 'that's actually genuinely adorable'.

Alana didn't have anything better to do, and she was still working on that drink from Frank (Thanks, Frank!) so she hung out at the bar for a while. She figured she might end up talking to somebody interesting.
