Trick or Treating, October 31, 2015 [Sundown]

The lights were still out throughout town, but many of the businesses were open and ready for you to show off your most adorable/scariest/most half-assed costumes and get free things!

Students, townies and alumni are all welcome to participate.

Show off your costumes (or your amazing backstories for why you're wearing your normal clothes), wonder if the pillowcases were really going to fill up...

Mara had found a ninja assassin costume because she thought she was hilarious, and was now standing around to see who else would join her.

Anakin was dressed as Father Taking His Kids Trick-or-Treating. The kids in question were dressed as Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat because they were still too young to object to themes.

Ha. Suckers.

"Hello, Professor Skywalker," Raven said when she caught sight of Anakin. "And hello Juliet and Christopher! Your costumes are wonderful!"

Even if she had no idea what they were.

"Thank you," Juliet yelled, bouncing up and down so that the big yellow hat flopped into her eyes.

Christopher just yelled. He was not happy about being in a costume at all.

"Who are all of your friends?" Anakin asked.

Raven had come to the island for Halloween, bringing with her a flock of children, Glacian orphans under her care. She'd tried to explain the holiday to them, then thought it even bring them to the island and show them. They were all in costume, picked from catalogs Raven had fetched from a few other worlds, and at the request of one of her charges, Raven herself was wearing black cat ears on her head. She also had a tail and a black nose and whiskers drawn on her face.

Shut up.

There were a few vaguely familiar costumes. Two girls were dueling Queen Karlas, one young boy with white feathered wings, a mini-Canary costume Raven had gotten from Dinah's world, another boy painted blue, and a quiet wee blonde girl wearing a black cloak and a red gem stuck on her forehead.

"You are adorable! And you are adorable. And Raven, you're adorable," Dinah told her, dropping off the top of the nearest building to land next to her and her charages. "Oh my gosh. Someone came as you!"

On one hand, free sushi and lobster! On the other, power's been out for 24 hours...

Maybe go for the Japanese candy and sushi instead.

They're handing out flashlights and condoms because they know their audience.

Éponine might not necessarily be home -- depending on when you showed up, she might have gone off to the Devil's Nest for the party there. But she had to do something with all that candy that the post office occasionally produced, and so there were buckets of Tootsie Rolls, Reese's, and all kinds of wrapped candies just sitting outside the front door of the warehouse where she lived.

There were also half a dozen lit jack o'lanterns to illuminate the candy. Because the post office had somehow managed to materialize those too, and she had to do something with them.

The cat that occasionally popped up to peer through the front window added a nice touch.

[OOC: Mod your candy or knock on the door! SP-ish until evening, though.]

"Go ahead and knock," Anakin told Juliet because he was absolutely the parent who took his kids to the abandoned warehouse district.
