The Perk, Sunday afternoon

Luke needed a break from the craziness of his home galaxy and had hopped a portal back to Fandom without checking the calendar...which meant that the candle crown that had appeared on his head as he walked onto the island surprised him more than it should've.

The Perk staff, also sporting lit crowns, gave him a little "what can you do" shrug as he walked into the store.

"Right," he said with a slight grimace. "Advent. Hot chocolate with peppermint then," he added. "Please."

Might as well enjoy the season, right?

Inspired by hearing about Dante and Four in the common room, Isabela found herself in search of somewhere warm to write. Somewhere she didn't have anything she cared about losing in case these candles actually acted like proper candles and set things alight.

"Oooh, you're new."

Sorry, Luke.

Luke smiled at her, innocent lamb that he was. "No, just haven't visited enough the last few years. Hi. I'm Luke."

"Isabela," she replied with a grin that was nowhere near as innocent. "So you've come here before?"

Somewhere Jo was facepalming at him. Actually, probably most of the women in his life were.

They were in a permanent state of facepalm with him, honestly.

"I graduated from here years ago," Luke said, nodding. "My dad still teaches here. Do you know Anakin Skywalker?"

"As a matter of fact..." Wait, father? "...isn't he a little young?"

Luke smiled. "He's aged remarkably well," he said. "Timelines run strangely here."

"Still, having him as a teacher must have been awkward." You had no idea, Isabela. No idea. "Especially with all the sexual tension."

Ow, hot chocolate through the nose hurts.

"The what now?"

"With Obi-Wan," Isabela cheerfully told him. "It's distracting enough for students who aren't related to them."

The 'distracting' was one of her rare attempts at sparing someone's feelings, what she actually meant was 'highly entertaining'.

Luke's eyes went huge. "UM."

Because Obi-Wan was old and never ever EVER HAD SEX OKAY.

Well, the latter might be sadly true, but not the former, atleast not if you were working on the same 'looks younger than my husband did' scale as Isabela was.

"I have pictures!" Because the camera on her phone was one of the few pieces of technology she'd gotten the hang of.

"Of what?" Luke asked fearfully.

He had a Bad Feeling about this.

"Of Obi-Wan and all the tension," Isabela said, grinning.

Dutch had even managed a few of the leather pants. Good job, weird space not her.

Oh sure, be used to the weird shit, Luke. Meanwhile Eggsy was still trying to get the fire hazard of a crown off his head as he entered the shop.

There was a good number of creative curses there for good measure

Luke grinned. "You haven't set anything on fire yet!" he called out encouragingly.

Which was good because wow did Eggsy wear a lot of polyester.

"Say that until it burns me face off." His pretty face!

"I don't think it's trying to injure you," Luke said. "It's just trying to be...festive. Or something."

"Yeah?" It was safe to say this was not the sort of festive Eggsy appreciated. "You from around here?"

"Not originally," Luke said. "I did two years here for high school, though."

"Not sure anyone's from here originally," Eggsy replied.

"Good point," Luke agreed, sipping from his hot chocolate. "But I've been here often enough it almost feels like home."

"Get a lot of candy raining back home?"

"No," Luke said. "Plenty of explosions, though. I prefer the candy."

"Yeah?" Oh sure, peak his curiosity.

Luke nodded. "My galaxy has been fighting a war for...a few decades now, give or take, depending on when you think it started. The good guys are winning, now, if that helps."
