For the most part, Éponine thought the snowdrifts in the lobby were amusing, but today she'd had to break up three snowball fights between customers in line before she'd even had her mid-morning break and was therefore seriously reconsidering her stance.

At least she could distract herself from the annoyance by running out to the park every now and then to see if any new birds, or something odder, had shown up in that tree.
