The Park, Saturday evening
Raven's brothers hadn't returned to torment her dreams the night before, but she had seen something, some strange image of the human Santa Claus, though his face had been skull-like instead of normal. Ordinarily she might have just brushed it off, but Fandom being Fandom, she knew better.
And on top of that, her shielding didn't seem to be working as well as it should, and the resulting emotional turmoil was both giving her a splitting headache and making her unable to think straight. The children seemed strangely unaffected, but the presence of other people nearby in the hotel was driving her almost mad. She asked Tilda to watch over the younger children for a short time while she went out to try to find some place to meditate and center herself and hopefully get her shielding back in working order.
As she approached the park, a feeling of dread scraped down her spine. She could feel them before she saw them. Her brothers, the other six of Trigon's Deadly Sins. Though she hoped it was just a dream again, she made an abrupt turn to go back the direction from which she'd come. But Wrath was there, blocking her path, and he grabbed her arm and flung her to the ground before she could evade him. The six of them quickly surrounded her.
"Hey, sis," Lust said. "It's okay. We're not here to hurt you. You know that. We're here because we're family, and you belong with us."
"You are not my family and I do not belong with you," Raven said, pushing herself up, bracing for an attack.
Envy snickered. "Told you we were going to have to do this the hard way," he said.
Then it was like the dream/memory again, with the six of them focusing their power on her, darkness crawling over her, seeking to claim her soul, and Raven screamed.
[For she who knows who she is to start, but open to anyone else who wants to play with Raven's stupid brothers. If you want a particular sin to target you, poke me on email or twitter!]

But this time, there was also a small familiar non-emotion tingle in there... and a glance at the sky gave her the answer. An advantage to having powers intended for fighting demons? She could see evil. And there was a large black aura over there! That meant a lot of evil. And it felt familiar. Then there was a scream, and Momoko quickly transformed and took off flying towards the aura.
Coming in fast, Blossom aimed a flying kick at the one who was holding Raven down. He was practically oooozing black aura. Wait... was he actually oozing blackness?

Raven still lay on the ground, curled in a ball and shaking.

"It's NOT A TOY!" She let her yo-yo fly, the White Light increasing the force as it headed towards him. The fact that her powers had been designed for fighting and sealing a demon was a help in keeping her from turning and destroying that poor tree.

"Quit playing with your food, brother," Envy snarled. "We have work to do here."

"Mo- Blossom," she called weakly, panting. "Get away before they hurt you!"

Raven whimpered at the mention of the darkness crawling over her. It was so strong, and she didn't know how to fight it. But she'd already proven that the human half of her was stronger than the demon. She'd tamed that side.
She tried to send Momoko a quick sense of trust, one shielded from her brother's senses. And then she let the darkness wash over her.

If not for that small flutter of emotion from Raven, Momoko would have been more worried than she already was about her friend; the Black seemed to almost swallow her!
Come back to us, she thought as hard as she could at Raven, again wishing she was actually telepathic.
"What do you mean, she should be?" Blossom asked, her tone more friendly than it ought to be, considering the circumstances. "There's a difference between her usual black and your evil Black." duh.

He was interrupted as Raven rose to her feet, now in her demon form. "That is correct," she said.
"Hot damn!" Lust said. "You finally ready to join us?"
“I am your sister," Raven said, blue energy crackling from her fingertips. "I am a sin. The sin of Pride. The original sin. The sin from which the rest of you spring. It sort of makes me your big sister. And big sisters call the shots.”
The blue energy arced from Raven's hands to surround each of her brothers, including Wrath, who had shaken off Blossom's yo-yo strike and staggered back to the group. Each of Trigin's sons shrieked in pain and collapsed to the ground.

"And Pride is totally not a bad thing; you just have to make sure you don't let it control you and that you have pride in the right things!" She planted her feet, standing firmly next to Raven... who was actually not giving off any Black that Momoko could see, meaning that even though she had transformed into her Demon form, Momoko's White Light said she wasn't actively being evil. "Like in being the heroines of justice we are. So these the brothers you told me about?"

She closed her eyes and willed the darkness to be dispelled. The demon fought her, of course, but that was not unexpected, and after a brief internal struggle, she defeated it. She opened her eyes as her form returned to normal. The bodies of her brothers vanished.
"Those were my brothers, yes," she said slowly, still shaking from her efforts. She wasn't sure where they had gone now.

She watched Raven closely. Not because she was concerned, but because she'd never seen Raven actually transform! "Does it hurt?"

"When I change, do you mean? It does not hurt my body, no." Her human soul, on the other hand, but she'd already proven that stronger on Glacia, and confirmed it now.

"What were they trying to do? It looked like you were drowning in Black."
