Fandom Post Office, December 29 (Tuesday)
With the Christmas rush over things had, in fact, slowed down at the post office.
Slowed down, but not completely, and Éponine was actually glad for that, mostly; she thought that going from being run off her feet every day to having nearly nothing to do would almost be worse than having things stay hectic. There were still mail runs to be done, and some packages that had gotten held up in delivery, and others that had been put off specifically until after the 25th.
It was a good balance -- not enough to be exhausting, but enough to occupy the hours without leaving her too much time to think. She'd generally been avoiding doing that as much as possible for the past couple of weeks.
There were cookies, too: they'd just appeared this morning, in the spot where the customs forms usually were. Well, she wasn't going to argue with that. Why bother, when she could just set out another stack of customs forms further down the counter and have cookies while she was at it?
[OOC: I defy you, OCD! 'tis open.]
