Devil's Nest, Monday, 01/25
Jack had the club to himself today. The DJ and Tiny had both called in due to the snow, and pointing out they lived on a tiny island that had escaped the worst of the storm hadn't convinced either of them to brave the sidewalks.
Jack cursed them both out -- which had sadly lost its effect over the years -- and went to work rather sulkily. He put on a Sinatra CD and organized the bar's stock. Not that there was much of it to organize. A few deliveries seemed to have gone missing.
The sign outside read, ALL WE HAVE IS FROZEN MARGARITAS AND ICED TEA VODKA. WE'RE SORRY. COME IN ANYHOW?
[OOC: Open club/post.]

Said dilemma wasn't stopping her from coming into the club. Especially not when she recognized the bartender. "Jack!" she called, giving him a toothy grin. He was one of the few people whose names she could be bothered to remember. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiii."
[The SP will be ridiculous, omg]

Jack's tone suggested how dimly he viewed that excuse.

"What are the branches for?" he asked, the made a face as a possibility occurred to him. "Wouldn't you get splinters?"

"Well..." she said, thinking about it. "Not if it was really well-polished first."
Which she would make Tiny do just so she had an alternative to him.

This was 'flirting.' Because she hadn't come right out and announced they should have sex again.

"And I suppose you think I could remind you," he said slowly, trying to sound more reluctant than he was. "Interesting."

Well, she was talented. And she thought she was a physician. The fact those two things weren't exactly related wasn't Jack's fault.

Although before they got back to the flirting and the innuendos and the all-but inevitable decision to get out of here, there was one very important thing that Navaan needed to make sure of. "You have another physician?" she demanded. "They're not planning on coming to set up shop here on the island are they? Are they part of a--a hospital?!"
Other doctors were NOT to be trusted. That was practically written into the unwritten doctor laws!
