Hardison was in heaven as he followed his nose from the apartment down to the restaurant. He could smell warmth and spices; two things definitely in short supply around the island. "Yo, what do we got down here?" he called.

"Dis is dem delicious Cajun foods, chere," the busboy called. "We wen' down to de--"

Hardison held up his hand. "Stop," he said. "Just stop. You're embarrassin' all of us."

"But--"

"Nope."

"But--"

"No."

"Fine." The busboy sulked off into the front room.

"Thanks," said Cook, giving Hardison an extra beignet. "He's been driving us crazy all morning."
