Town Hall, Tuesday
"Uuuuuugh."
Bright Eyes was looking particularly skittish today, which probably had a lot to do with how Tamsin had been taking her frustration out on the staff all day. Or maybe she'd just had too much coffee that morning. You never knew, with Bright Eyes.
One thing one might know, however, was how Tamsin had been dealing with this 'return of the sex pollen' bull otherwise: the Mayor's office was covered in little origami cranes. Many of them seemed to have suffered terrible fates, with half of them crammed into other origami cranes and the rest lying in an ever-growing pile of death near the trash can.
"Remind me again why it isn't legal to order 'Dite's to have a sale?" she barked at the door.
Bright Eyes jumped and bustled off to the bathroom.

What? She had a standing invitation, even if it had been made under a love spell. Still counted.
As nervous as she may have been about this, it was made worse in an unexpected way with the way all the staffers seemed terrified. But that turned into confused interest when she peeked in Tamsin's office.
"Somebody's keeping herself busy," she said, briefly mourning the poor cranes. "In ways that are by no means terrifying, I should add."

She gestured at the chair opposite her desk.

She was trying to keep it jokey, but the combination of the pollen and Tamsin just being that gorgeous normally meant that Jessica basilically wanted to jump across the desk and just go at it.
But she had more control than that.

A beat.
"Pretend I didn't say that, all right? I have a professional reputation to uphold." Of being terrifying. "But you probably have good odds."
Screw it. It wasn't like that many people actually showed up here to actually turn in paperwork or whatever.

Yes, the pollen had her worked up enough that she was explicitly trying to ignore annoying jokes.

She got up out of her seat. "Your place. There are some things I do not want to bring up with Death."

She walked idly around the desk, coming to a stop right in front of Jessica.

She stayed inside voice on that last line. Somehow.
"You're gorgeous. I hope you know that."

The problem with Jessica snarking up a storm and throwing compliments around was that it was really hard not to keep staring at her mouth. It made sense to fix that.
So Tamsin closed the distance between her mouth and Jessica's. If she was lucky, it'd even scandalize Bright Eyes.

She didn't know Bright Eyes, but she was really absolutely trying to scandalize the poor woman.

In fact, by the time she pulled away, her hands had wound up on Jessica's hips somehow. Oops. "Right," she said, and after a beat too long, she added, "Now let's really blow this joint."
no subject
No. Control. Jessica could keep her pants on for a few minutes. She stepped back to get just a little bit of distance so she didn't give into those desk urges, then reached for Tamsin's hand. "Yeah. Let's go. And my god, let's walk fast."
no subject
While walking out the door very, very fast.
