Miss Niehaus, employee records indicate that today is your birthday, JARVIS announced in a very serious voice as Cosima got to work. She was still licking cupcake icing off her fingers -- a little birthday indulgence. Do you want me to sing the traditional birthday song?
She smiled warily at the nearest camera. She had learned by now not to trust JARVIS when he sounded especially robot-y; it almost always meant he was up to something. "You know what? Thanks, but I'll be fine without any singing," she said. "Just, uh ... go back to calculating pi or whatever you do."
Cosima could swear she could feel the glare she got for that one. Tinny singing filled the shop air. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too.
"Aww, you programmed the laptops to sing to me too," Cosima said without enthusiasm. "Thanks so much."
[OOC: Open shop, open post, hooray for canon b-days.]

Stepping inside as the laptops were finishing up their serenade made him wish he'd waited a few extra minutes, but ah well. "Sup, Cosima," he greeted with a wave. "I thought it might be nice to offer you some birthday wishes, but it seems like your setup's got that covered."

(And this was why Cosima was not Dyad Institute's favorite clone.)
"Yeah, JARVIS knows how to make a girl feel special," Cosima said agreeably, with just the slightest internal wince at Hardison's timing. "Hey, Hardison. Thanks for remembering. So far 17's not too bad if I ignore the singing AI."

"You shouldn't encourage him," Cosima added, sing-song.

HARDISON, NO!

Here in the shop, or would I have to go to where he is? he asked. We could do either. Does Miss Parker also like birthday songs?

He had a Hardison to do all that for him, after all.
