Mary liked folding towels into the form of animals. It was a fun way to pass the time at the front desk on a slow day, and it was something that guests liked finding in their rooms.

With the Easter holiday coming up, Mary had taken to folding little towel bunnies. But she was fairly certain that she stopped at three or four bunnies before moving onto other towel animals. So when she returned from a quick trip to the kitchen, she was startled to see twenty towel bunnies. After running to the janitor's closet and back, the number of bunnies had increased to forty. When she ran upstairs to get something from her room. the bunnies doubled in number to eighty.

By then, Mary was terrified of leaving the desk ever again. Someone had to keep the bunnies in check before they took over the entire hotel.
