It was a busy day for Mayday. Not only did she get in her standard workout first thing in the morning, but she also arranged some volunteer work with somebody at the Wayne Foundation who was willing to come in on a Sunday. Since she only had to worry about class two days a week, that gave her plenty of time to help the, err, semi-local community in Maryland in addition to working on her workshops and her basketball training.

Now that all the heavy work was over, Mayday was able to get some lunch. The bagels weren't quite New York quality, but she wasn't going to complain about them. At least not out of narrative. But she was pretty sure the guy behind the counter could sense her quiet judgement. She was going to have to work on that.
