Eliot was doing some fairly last minute experimenting to finish up the menu for Hannibal and Jono's wedding.

"Here." He held a piece of crusty bread out to one of the servers. "Tell me if this chutney has too much fennel."

The server leaned back away from his hand. "I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to chutney."

"Chutney's not an ingredient!"

"Then I'm allergic to fennel?"

Eliot growled under his breath. "Here," he said, thrusting the bread at the busboy instead. "Does this have too much fennel?"

"I don't eat carbs."

"Someone eat this and tell me if it has too much fennel before I fire all of you."

"Mmm," said the dishwasher. "Fennel."

Confit duck leg with beetroot and chestnut bubble and squeak
Saffron risotto with marrow
Spicy pear, cucumber, and radish salad
yes, we still serve normal burgers

"Dammit, Cookie, stop adding commentary to my specials boards!"
