The hedge maze in the Park, Sunday
The hedge maze has continued to grow since the first day. The hedges topped off at ten feet tall, but once past the entrance, giant thorned vines slither between the rows, wrapping like tentacles around the ankles of the unwary. Gremlins and beasties stalk through the shadows, and anything attempting to fly over, from a full grown dragon to the tiniest bird, is likely to get swamped by sentient candy clouds.
Somewhere in the middle of all this, Discord resides. Hailing from a world without radio, he has no idea what's in store. Assuming, of course, the Element teams can even get to him. . . .

Explore the maze
Re: Explore the maze
Wham. He hit the ground somewhere in a maze corridor. Face-first this time.
He blinked owlishly. "The-- oh, dam." He stared at the slithering thing coming towards him. "I am not in for this bucking Japanese--"
There was, apparently, a limit to how much profanity could be channeled into horse puns, but for the sake of the comm, we'd cut him off there.

... and bit the hedge, gnawing on it stubbornly.
"I--" Gnaw. "Am--" Gnaw. "Coming for you!"
Re: Explore the maze
If he had, he wouldn't have addressed her quite as politely.
"I think there's an entrance right there," he offered mildly. "Or are you just here to get a snack?"
Re: Explore the maze
"As if this mad man would not trick us if we--"
You could see the very moment she realized who was talking to her: she jumped in a perfect half-circle to face him.
"You!"
Re: Explore the maze
"Of course it's you," he returned, in the closest a pony's voice could come to a growl. "Never mind. Keep chewing on leaves. Choke on them."
Re: Explore the maze
Here by the maze, here generally...

Plus, Merrill. The possibility she'd forget what she was doing and wander off to pick daisies was far from nonexistent. If she did, Anders intended to step in and get the book for himself.

Not that he was inclined to concede the point to Cassandra.
"She'll be fine," he said. "Anyhow, I don't see her out here trying to eat her way through."
Re: Explore the maze
Re: Explore the maze
"So you've been chewing your way through?"
Re: Explore the maze
Also possibly losing her temper. A touch.
Re: Explore the maze
"I might have an alternative strategy in mind," he offered. "If you don't try to throw me in jail for using it."
Re: Explore the maze
It had better not be blood magic.

He was looking equally suspiciously at her. Did he trust her enough to let her see him use his magic? It hadn't exactly gone brilliantly the last time.
(Then again, fireballs and summoning a demon weren't quite the same, either.)
