Around Fandom, Monday Morning

This time, the island vanished in a poof of feathers and song - and in a poof of feathers and song, it reappeared in a crater right outside Camp Urdnot, where the poof and the song were summarily rejected by the loud scream of a pyjak as it fled from two grunting krogan warriors.

Then it was silent. Much of Tuchanka was, when there wasn't deadly wildlife running straight through it.

Right past the causeway laid a network of old, hastily-restored tunnels with metal roofs and floors and walls and hastily-attached lamps, illuminating rubble, dusty tents, and a lot of local krogans of Clan Urdnot. Most of them didn't really care about the island that had just appeared right in their line of sight. They were hungry, and cooking whatever they had caught last.

Out in the throne room, Urdnot Wrex, leader of Clan Urdnot, took in the sudden new addition to the skyline with a chuckle and a snort. "Looks like humans," he growled. "At least that'll be good for a laugh. Hey, Wreav! Ready the ryncol!"

Shop/Get Drunk With the Krogans

There are a bunch of crummy stalls that sell basics, like guns, armor, and ammo. But other krogan grin at you from a makeshift bar.

Basically anything alcoholic they sell kicks like a horse, the Ryncol worst of all.

Quarians didn't exactly get along beautifully with krogan, so Tali wasn't particularly looking to go out and make friends or anything, but she was feeling a little bit homesick and figured she'd get less grief here than she had on Illium.

But it wouldn't hurt to see if they'd buy any of the salvage she'd dug up in the Fandom junkyard and repaired, would it? She could use the credits.

Varren Fights

Or if you're hankering for a different kind of entertainment, why not bet on the varren fights? They're big, lizardy creatures, and as they fight - at the bottom of a large pit - a lot of gleeful krogan warriors cheer them on.

CULTURAL NOTE: All krogans at camp are male; due to a plague that restricts their reproduction, females are kept safe in different camps. But that's stuff that only goes for their *own* women - krogan have no trouble with the human (or otherwise non-krogan) kind.

The barrier won't let any Tuchanka wildlife back onto the island, on accounts of it would EAT EVERYTHING, alas. ;)
