The Kwik Stop, Thursday Afternoon
"I know it's been a while," Dante said, plonking his ass back down at the edge of the roof of the Kwik Stop. "But I brought ham."
The cat looked at him, whiskers pulled back into an expression that looked kinda annoyed, but fuck if Dante knew, and wandered forward to sniff at his offering. After a second or two, the cat had deemed it good and snatched it out of Dante's hands with his teeth.
"Yeah, there you go," Dante said, legs dropping over the edge and swinging back and forth. Still restless, yeah, even more than a week later. "I got some stories, cat."
