So Hannibal and Jono were going to attempt to get married again this week. Which meant that Eliot was using his kitchen staff to help with prep again.
"Haven't we made this stuff, like, several times before?" the dishwasher asked.
"Yup," said Eliot.
"Twice," the busboy clarified. "Well, three times if you count the practice run before attempt number one."
They continued working in silence for another few moments.
"Soooo," said the cook. "Next time you're just going to tell them to order pizza, right?"
Eliot sighed. "Yup."
Today's specials
Honey-soy broiled salmon
Roasted sweet potato wedges with saffron aioli
Lavender and earl grey scones
"Dammit, who put the wedding food on the specials board?"
"It's the only stuff we've got prepared today."
Luke's was open.
