Stark Industries, Friday
Peridot still had her loaf of bread. She'd been carrying it around with her since her class on Tuesday, not completely certain what to do with it from here. The books didn't want it and JARVIS couldn't eat it, no matter how much Peridot insisted he try.
"Might I suggest," he said, a tone of mild exasperation in his voice, "taking it to the park and feeding it to the ducks?"
"What's a duck?"
And that was why Peridot was spending her day building a robotic duck. Maybe it wouldn't eat the bread, but it would probably take her mind off of it, anyway.
