Luke's, Monday
Eliot had spent the weekend in faint panic mode, worrying that Nana would want to stop in on the island for a visit after joining Saturday's March. Sure, she'd been to Eliot's house before, and it had gone just fine. And she seemed to like Eliot well enough. That was before Eliot's house was also her kid's house. Not to mention the fact that they already had an exhausted 19 year old staying over until she got her feet back under her. The house was rather chaotic, right now, as they all tried to settle in with each other and make room for Raven as well. It wasn't really in "show off to the mother-in-law" shape. Not that any of this would probably matter to Nana, but -- well. Eliot was never going to get over worrying whether that woman thought he was good enough for Hardison or not.
Of course, the weekend had been just fine, and Nana hadn't asked to swing by and visit at all, Raven was a perfectly lovely house guest, even if Hardison's attempts to keep the kid fed meant the entire freezer was now full up on hot pockets, and Eliot's worrying had been entirely for nothing.
So today he was hanging out in a back booth in the diner, reading a history of World War I, and drinking too much coffee again.
You know. Hiding.
