Alluka came in today and blinked. Blinking didn't change anything, so she blinked again, just to make sure, and then, with a glance at Mr. Berry, squealed in delight.

Lace! Everything was lacy and elegant and so, so gorgeous!

Alluka wasn't sure how useful some of the pieces would be that way--she was pretty sure a lace jacket would only get caught on everything--but, well, that didn't much matter to her. Beauty trumped practicality!

And she was probably going to try on everything in the store today even vaguely in her size.

Mr. Berry thought this was a good plan too.

Kathy just happened to have some extra chocolate left over from her Dirty Candypalooza the other day and not all of it was in shapes that she'd be embarrassed to give to Alluka.

And so she was stopping by Demon Marcus to pay a visit.

"I come bearing candy!" she announced, figuring it was the best way to perk up Alluka's day. She could do with a dose of Alluka's brand of innocent cheer.

There was a squeal from deep within the aisles. Then rustling as she worked her way to the front of the store, Mr. Berry with her, and a lace hat on her head.

"Kathy!" she said happily, and promptly (okay, after checking to see if she was going to knock anything out of Kathy's hands) flung herself at Kathy for a hug.

Oh, like Kathy would come visit Alluka and not be prepared for a tacklehug upon arrival. "Hi Alluka," she said, smiling down as she hugged Alluka close. "I like your hat."

She giggled, hugging back tightly. "It's nice," she said agreeably. "Some of the others are... kind of not. Everything's all over lace today!"

A beat.

Alluka tilted her head back to look up at Kathy. "Are you shopping, today? Or visiting? Or both?"

Both was good!

"Mostly visiting, but I don't mind looking around," Kathy said. "I just had all this spare chocolate lying around my apartment and I didn't want it to go to waste. Do you think you can help me find someone to eat it all?"

"I can help!"

That was... probably not a surprise, no. Not even a little.

"But, but Kathy--you have chocolate?"

Enough to give away? That was... not very much like the Kathy Alluka knew.

Kathy laughed. "I do like candy, you know," she said, fondly tapping Alluka's nose. "I just think it's important that growing girls get plenty of nutrients."

Mommest mom-friend ever.

"...In fairness, though, I don't usually have quite this much," she added, because of honesty.

... Not that Alluka had done much growing since coming to Fandom, but point taken.

She giggled. "I eat vegetables!" Sometimes! Intermittently! "Why do you have so much chocolate? Did you want something to drink, Kathy? Tea?"

[LJ is mean like that! Mean!]

Well maybe if she'd had more vegetables she'd've grown!

"Oooh, tea would be lovely," Kathy said. "A nice little party for the three of us, unless you've got more friends around?" She looked about the store, trying to spot any other stuffed animals tucked away. "And I had to make some decisions about what kind of candy I was going to buy, so I got a lot to do taste-testing."

She didn't need to mention that the candy she was buying going forward was for her sex store, did she? No she did not.

I have a headache.
