The kitchen staff were exchanging friendship bracelets.
"Y'all think you're funny," Eliot told them. "But you ain't."
The busboy looked at him blankly. Then looked pointedly at the fifteen knotted bracelets still around Eliot's wrist. Then looked back up at him.
Eliot threw his hands in the air and went to go work on some paperwork.
By the end of the day, the collection of bracelets on his wrist would increase to 18.

Bug juice!
"We are not serving 'mystery meat' in my diner," Eliot said. He was ignored.
Luke's was open.
