The chickens were starting to look much more like chickens now, and Zack was seriously starting to consider building a coop up on the roof or something, since the more chickens they had here, the more space they had to set aside for... well... chickens. The bunnies had mostly been adopted out, that part was relatively easy in spite of recent giant rabbit trauma even if it should never have come to being flooded with bunnies in the first place, but most people came to the shelter looking for dogs and cats and the occasional rabbit. Not... well... chickens.

Or that one horse.

The thing was, he didn't mind having them around, exactly. They were still enough like miniature chocobo that they kind of reminded him of home. But they were growing quickly enough and needed so much space now that he was going to have to start rearranging where to keep the dogs and cats, unless he could find somebody to take them or he could... he didn't know... sneak them into the garden on the dorm grounds. If the squirrels didn't catch him at it, people would probably even blame them on the island for a while, right?

Well, a guy could dream.

A guy could also put a sign advertising chickens in the window and hope someone had the space for them, right?
